Forum Rules | 1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule. |

| Bodhi knows when it's time for dinner. I feed him every night at six. We don't start making dinner until after he eats. There aren't any clues for him like us being in the kitchen and clanking pots around. He sits in the hall outside the kitchen and stares at me from about quarter to six until six or ten after if I'm busy with something else. Last week with the change to day light savings time, he wasn't thrown off. Quarter to six, he was sitting in the hall, staring, even though it was quarter to five his body time. Uncanny! |

| Well, the other day Luka had the runs when I walked him around 7am - When we got home I told him he wasn't getting any food until midday and that he should go to bed till 12. He actually went to straight to bed and woke up at 12.05 and wouldn't leave me alone until I got up and got his food ready lol! Everyone in the house was laughing, telling me that I was the one who told him 12 o clock in the first place! |

| Yep, ours can tell time too! Routine, routine, routine! Like today, I'm working from home, and Mya's totally thrown off. She always acts CRAZY when I'm home during the week and Ivan is not. She jumps on me constantly, jumps at the door, whines, and basically doesn't let me work. Very annoying.
They know when it's dinner time for them (at 6pm), they know that on the weekends they can't ask for their walk until after we have breakfast, they know that they go out for their last potty break at 930pm, and Kody knows when it's time to watch dog whisperer (lol).
Smartest dogs I tell ya! |

| It's not so much as they can look at the clock and know what time it is. Dogs as well us humans have a biological clock. We as humans can just look at a clock but a dog has to rely on their biological and routine. |

We as humans can just look at a clock but a dog has to rely on their biological and routine. I figured that but it is fun to think they can tell time.. |

Quarter to six, he was sitting in the hall, staring, even though it was quarter to five his body time. Uncanny! That IS particularly interesting! Bodhi is quite the smarty pants. Daylight savings always throws mine off for a week or two until they readjust. _________________ |
