Spider had a dental today, they bonded 3 teeth. Since she has gotten home at 330 (741 now) she keep intermittently whining. She didnt do this when she had the mastectomy/spay and its only the 2nd time she has been under. Is this normal?

I won't say anything about normal since I haven't had a dog under where I've been around later ... well, one when she got spayed who couldn't walk to the car ... silly, didn't want to get carried but man was she ever 'drunk', I think she knew if she tried to talk she definitely couldn't walk.

My guess is that she's not comfortable as she's coming back to 'reality'. And whining when things aren't comfortable wouldn't be that odd in my book. Second thought, has she needed to go out? If she thinks she needs to and hasn't she might be ill at ease on that count. If it's only a whine, I'd let it go until the AM ... decide then if it's worth a trip through the hills again.

Shes been out, and ate. Though its been raining going on 3 days now so none of the dogs actually want out. She isnt drinking though but she ate a few ice cubes. Overall still lethargic. When she had the spay and whatnot she was acting weird for almost a month. Really my dogs dont go under all that often cuz they're all old now.

Whining completely expectable. Attached had anaesthesia for something, he kind of lay they and whined, Ami had anaesthesia and he was hell bent on going outside and walking down the street - drunk, disoriented, whining. Had to keep a short leash on him to keep him safe.

Yeah i talked to the vet this am. She called to check on spider.
