It's been a very long time since I posted here, and I'm not even sure if the same people are still here, but I learned so much from this community I wanted to share one last Appa Update.

After a rough last couple of years with Dementia, Sun-downers, random skin lesions and arthritis Appa found his way home. We were always weighing if he had more "good than bad" and it was - it was just hard to see our big guy age. Appa was with us when we learned to be adults and started a family. It feels so wrong to have it him gone. We'll miss you buddy.

@Rileyflorence I've been here for a while and don't recognize the name but do recognize the situation.  I don't understand why G-d couldn't make it so they lived as long as we do but, well, he has his own reasons for everything ... and that knowledge doesn't make it hurt any the less when one of our best buddy's has to move on.  You have my sympathy ...

He is one handsome boy and love that picture with the bow tie!!!

I'm so sorry for your loss. Happy that he had a long life with people who loved him
