Max, it's a sad sick world we live in....that dog is gorgeous, so sad she has such bad owner(s)...Litter box trained is a new one to me.....BTW...I love Skylar, she is just beautiful...

Max.....thanks for the reminder, however, I never really said how beautiful she is....I belong to a few groups, and sometimes I do spend hours looking at dogs. This forum I love because we do tend to build friendships, that's a big thing for me, I live in the middle of nowhere, and dogs are my passion. To be honest your refresher is mainly because I didn't think you would be back on. Most people who ask about their "mix" of their husky, get the answer and then leave. Sorry about that, I did recognize your name and Skylar's, just couldn't put your names to an exact post........And she is Beautiful.

Gotcha! I'm always trying to understand Skylar and how different she is from other Huskies (I believe), when got her I just thought "hey I'm getting a Husky" but I was way wrong, but now that I have done some homework on her and her breed and I understand her much better and that is why I'm always looking for info.

I was going to pick up this handsome guy tomorrow but I backed out, I'm watching a little dog until the owner finds a place and hopefully she will find a place before summer and I do not want anything to happen if I was to pick him up, the guy told me he has a high pray drive but he’s good with dogs but I cannot risk it otherwise I would.. I'm kind of sad about that.

Huskies and German shepherds are my loves!! Don't care for little dogs, lol. Too bad, I am sure another one will come your way. So what have you learned from researching her? Does she fit into husky/gsd, or more husky? I call Miya my split personality husky, haha. She has most traits of a husky, but she is very protective of our property and me, that's where the gsd comes in.

I believe she looks for the most part husky but her personality is very much GSD, I read up on the tamaskan and she does have familiarities as they are gsd also..

Ah max he is beautiful. I feel for ya, I think having a pair really makes a difference. Skylar reminds me so much of my Miya, my avatar pic is not a good one of her. But they do have a ton of similarities. My breeder that I got my gsd puppy from is also a trainer and said the same thing as your trainer, how chill Miya is and very obedient for a husky, haha.

I have so many pics, just hard finding some good pics of just her, lol. She is my heart dog, and I wouldn't know what to do with out her.

I am not tech savvy, lol, I have to resize the pic, ugh, yea, I have never like this pic, all blown up to correct size she looks good. Thanks by the way. She probably looks small, but she is 24 inches and 65 pounds, give or take. So tall and lean like Skylar. I hope you get more involved here, some real great folks here, and a ton of info. and although we have 2 beauties that don't always fall under husky, they are at least mostly....we have husky of the month pic contests and things like that. So stick around and enjoy the company.

Miya won September 2014 with this pic the theme was favorite activity....so people here are accepting of all shapes, colors and sizes of huskies.

No problem, look for HOTM, gives rules, sub forum, I think it's under pics. Many of us have scrapbooks dedicated to our "kids" too. Love to see Skylar have a scrapbook.
