Sierra had her staples removed yesterday and can go on short walks now she is happy to get outside. now to get her leg healed up, need to massage the muscle and prevent a build up of scare tissue.

Oh wow, it is looking really good! I'm so glad everything worked out and is healing well for miss sierra!!

Today marks Sierra's one month of recovery, that also means we can start to up her workouts and doing lite trails :)her incision is looking better to! just wish the hair would grow faster.

6th month update:
So we have had less then a busy hiking season but Sierra is rocking it like her old self on the trails, still waiting for all her guard hairs to come in, good thing she has a thick under coat.


from this weekend, her scar site is the dark brown line, funny how the color returned to the cut but not the rest of her leg yet.

Michael was asking about Sierra and last week was her 1yr and also 4month anniversary's for both surgery's on the leg. I had meant to get on here and post these pics but forgot to.  

her fur is just about in from the 4month one, its so long it has "combed over" the site





she has recovered fine from both surgery's other then the color of her hind leg does not match the other any more
we just hope there are no more in the future.

If she did not come with papers i would swear she we like 3 with all the trouble she makes, NOT going on 12! But then again there are plenty of seniors causing all kind of trouble out there! Hoping for at least 5 more good yrs with her since i have only gotten 6 so far. We love our baby girl and are happy she has recovered so well.

Colleen, she never gets chunky blow outs, just sheds all the time, think the color is what it is. At least her dark strip that used to go right down her middle is looking more normal, when they did the last on the line took a sharp curve to the right from all the skin they took.

I too am pleased to hear she is doing so well.

Gus has a bright white patch on the right side of his back. And his backend is a light red, golden colour. so he's mismatched too I call it his Harry Potter birthmark

It's so good to see and hear that Sierra is doing good! I like what Maggie said the "Harry Potter birth mark" haha
