I'll keep Si Si in my thoughts . As you know, Wyatt has two lumps one that's rather large but the vet confirmed they're just fatty tumors.

I'm sure it's just a fatty tumor. Tasha had a lot of them in her mammary area, and lived to 16. I think we discovered them when she was around 7 or 8. I'm sure Sierra is fine.

Good luck Jenn. My parents Brittanys have always gotten lumpy as they get older and it's always been fatty tissue.

Fingers crossed for you and Sierra. Faith had a lump that turned out to be a fatty mass, but it scared me to no end before we got her into the vet. _________________

Well we went to the vet this morning and had it checked, it was more then just fatty tissue and we had to take another sample to send to the pros to check. my vet could not identify the other cells, just said they were multiplying rapidity. so we will have to remove the mass just need to know how much of an area to remove and if it is cancer or not, going to take 3-5 days for an answer, i cant wait that long!!!! thank you for all the thoughts and keep them coming we need all the help we can get! _________________

Waiting for sure sucks! I had to go through the same thing when I found a lump on my Dalmatian. From experience, get a second opinion if it turns into something major and look into holistic healing. I've been treating my senior Dalmatian holistically for almost two years now when they only gave her months to live and also shrunk the tumor. If your interested, I can give you the info on what I do.

Well we got the results today. She is going in to have it removed next wed and then it will be sent off to see if all the cancer cells were remove or if any passed and then we need to go talk about the steps from there. if anyone has any insight from this report i would love to hear it as i can only google so much before i get to worked up. Source / History: 2 cm firm mass on right lateral thigh just noted 2 days ago. 3 unstained slides submitted. Microscopic Description There are marked numbers of aggregated spindle to stellate nucleated cells with generally single slightly eccentric and oval nuclei, coarse chromatin and small round nucleoli if seen. The pale blue cytoplasm is typically mild in amounts and sometimes vacuolated. Cytoplasmic margins are often irregular and faintly distinct giving the cells a wispy or veil-like appearance. Anisocytosis, anisokaryosis and variation in N:C ratios are mild. Microscopic Interpretation (Cytology) Soft tissue sarcoma Comments: Primary consideration is soft tissue sarcoma (e.g. hemangiopericytoma, soft tissue sarcoma of peripheral nerve sheath origin, fibrosarcoma, etc.). These neoplasms tend to present as solitary, soft to firm and slow growing masses with poorly defined margins and invasive tendencies into surrounding tissue structures. Metastasis, although rare, tends to be via hematogenous routes to lungs, although regional lymph nodes can also be involved. im just sitting at work a mess right now _________________

So sorry Jenn It must be so hard not really understanding what's going on, and I'm not help deciphering that. I think it's good though that Metastasis is considered rare, so hopefully it hasn't spread.

I'm so sorry Jenn. Sierra is like a member of our family and I'm in tears. Hopefully they get everything out on Wednesday. Unfortunately I don't know anything about this stuff either.
