| Meet Storm!
Ginger and Storm met this past Sunday, and they seemed to get along. I went on a business trip this past week, so we decided to wait until this afternoon to take him overnight.
They seem to be getting along so far...he tried to mount her once and she told him off and he respected her. He's already learned he's not allowed in the kitchen, and JD and Storm has bonded!

Yep...If you look at the pictures of Ginger and Sully side by side, Storm is bigger - taller and wide load...he's overweight so we'll have some work to do to get that off him. But is he very cute, and has bonded with JD almost instantly and just wants to cuddle... We slept in the living room for the first night, and he managed to wedge all 110 lbs of him between me and JD. Ginger was on the other side of me, so I was sandwiched between the 2. Life is good.... _________________ |

We're thinking of adopting him, so we took him for a weekend stay to see how we could handle a BIG guy and to see how Ginger and Storm get along for a few days.....so far so good.... He's such a gently giant! And he's SO big right now, that I didn't know he was behind me and I took a step back and just about fell over him and he didn't even budge an inch! We'll need to decide tomorrow if he's going to stay with us or not. _________________ |

| The XL multi sport harness we got for Ginger that ended up being too big for her is TOO SMALL for Storm!  Off to our fave pet store to get him a martingale collar...and maybe even a harness of some sort... _________________ |

Yep. I'm thinking at normal weight, he'll be about 80-90 lbs...*I think*....Dr. Miller wants to re-check him when he reaches 100 lbs...Sully was 74 lbs. _________________ |

| That size husky just boggles my mind. Wow. My dad's dog, Cheyenne, is 65-70ish pounds and seems huge (to me). Wow. Best of luck to you in slimming him down safely and quickly! What's he going to be eating? Is he doing raw with Ginger, or is he on a low cal kibble? Is he doing THK too? What kinds of goodies does he like? I have a bunch Nikolai wasn't a huge fan of - maybe Storm might like 'em? |

He is on a low cal kibble right now, but comparing calories per cup, THK is just a little higher. So I will eventually be switching him over to THK. So far, he likes everything. I'm going to get him grain free, and on fish and chicken proteins because they are 'lighter'. Ginger slimmed WAY down and leaned out a lot in the last few weeks. I'll have Storm eventually on a partial raw also, but that's looking ahead a few months. I'd be glad to have Nikolai's hand-me-downs for Storm! Thanks! _________________ |
