| I have already read the three threads on bedding in the crate. I completely understand, and agree that beds shouldn't be in crates. But do any of you have beds for them that are outside of the crate? Would buying one for outside of the crate be a waste of money?
Also, when you guys are talking about rotating foods...how often do you do that? |

| I have a Costco bed with a crate pad on top of it and Kale LOVES laying on his bed. It's his spot in the house.
With rotating food, I usually switch formulas every 2 bags. Some people switch after every bag. It all depends on what you want and what your dog can handle. For puppies I tend to stick with the same food till I switch to adult food, but that's all personal preference and there's nothing wrong with switching it up for young pups as well. |

| When you rotate foods, are you rotating brands, or just flavor? |

| My 2 prefer sofa and our bed, or just the carpet. We had a couple of pillowy beds around the house for them but they never used it. So we just lay blankets on the floor and they prefer those if they are not on the sofa, or bed.
I do 'mix-in's' instead of rotating. My female started out on a single protein source, fish. Just recently, I switched her to venison, so now she can do fish and venison, but keep the venison limited to dehydrated or freeze dried - no venison kibble yet. The only kibble she does well on so far is Orijen 6-fish. So I can go all Orijen, or all THK Zeal (dehydrated fish), or all Grandma Lucys Artisan (freeze dried venison). Ginger is my sensitive girl so switching too often or too fast will cause a slight upset to her tummy. So I keep those as my main food in rotation. If I try something new, it's more as a small mix-in instead of a full rotation in food. _________________ |

| We have a Costco bed for Bode (which is a fantastic deal) that he sometimes uses, but he prefers the couch or the rug at the front door. I think now that weather is getting warmer, he will use the bed even less, but it's nice to have for him. |

| I have a couple beds in the living room for the pups, just some clearance beds I got good deals on but they're huge. As for switching, I switch flavors of TOTW but not brands. Cloud I switched to bison adult formula when he turned 1, Yuki was on pacific stream puppy and I waited until 9 months to switch to the adult formula of pacific stream. I am going to try bison with her when the pacific stream runs out and then try Wetlands formula next. |

| We have beds in our room for night time, and the dogs love them.
I have to rotate food every few weeks or Murphy will stop eating... the brand Nature's Variety is formulated for rotational feeding! Check it out, it made my life so much easier! |

| Sky has a blanket she bought home from her mom, it's been washed lots now lol, it stays up in our room unless we're going out and leaving her home alone then it comes down for her in the hallway. In the day she either gets comfy on the footstool or on the floor by the livingroom door
We switched Sky about 4 weeks ago and at first she wolfed it down but now she isn't a fan, she will eat some of it and she isn't losing weight, you can tell she isn't loving it. In the next couple weeks we're switching brands and flavours, after I've read the brand we have now isn't great, but after that I hope to just switch flavours |
