1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

1. Saya got her rabies shot today the vet also gave her a benadryl shot. I notice she is limping a bit is this because of the rabies shot? And how long would she be limping for?

2.Saya is going to get spayed on the 6th besides withholding food from her the night before, is there anything I should expect after saya gets spayed? Attitde change decreased or increased energy?

3. I feed my dog raw food I wonder are they allowed to eat different things such as shrimps?

4. I told my vet that I was considering adopting a doberman she said that I shold see a behaviorist first because they might not be a good match . She said that Saya already sees herself as the queen of the house and that if I bring a doberman it might create issues between the two. Anybody has had any prior experience with this or details

1. Is it in her leg? Could just be tenderness from the shot.
2. Expect grogginess. She nay be irritable because she is in pain. For 24a to 48you she will be groggy then she will return to crazy husky lol. Take her for slow paced walks to get the energy out.
3. I give mine shrimp. They love them. I also give a multitude of meats.
4. That is not the best choice i'm mt opinion unless you get one from.a very good breeder that breeds very good temperament. Just my opinion.

1. Where was the shot given? If in the leg it could be due ti tenderness.

2. Expect her to be very groggy when I you get her. The first 24and to 48you hours she may not eat much and may be tired. Don't force her to eat. After a few days she will be a whirlwind. Try to do slow paced walks to get the energy

Thanks for the reply Megan. Yes the shot was given in the leg. I considered a male doberman I don't want to get a puppy I want to o something good and get a dog from a shelter. I was thinking of taking her to meet it when I decide to get one from the shelter to see how they interact. I did not know that they were not a match though :/.

Ultimately the Doberman question has a lot to do with what you're able to handle personally. They are a great breed, but as with many popular dogs... Their breeding (especially temperament) has been less than spectacular in the irresponsible breeder community. If you trust your judgement of temperament and feel you can make a fair assessment and handle possible unexpected temperament/behavioral/health issues down the road... Pulling from a shelter is a great thing. If you're looking for a little more information, background, and assistance in placement I would go the breed rescue route.

As long as you are socializing your dog I find no issue with bringing a Doberman or any other breed into the house. I would however suggest waiting until your puppy is a bit older. It does make it easier on you Smile
