| I feed koda Nutrisca chicken and chicpea. They also sell the same food with salmon and chicpea, and also lamb and chicpea. The last 2 are more expensive than the chicken, but i was wondering am i able to switch cold turkey between the different flavors without koda having trouble? Little background, it took me a long time to get koda to have solid stools. I think the problem was he was alergic to turkey though. Do you think this will bother him if i change the flavor sometimes to give him something different? Here is the link to the 3 foods if you need to look at that. http://nutrisca.dogswell.com/ Scroll down to the dry dog food part. |

| In general, I've found that switching within brands is easier than switching to a new brand, but if he's got a real sensitive tummy and he doesn't switch foods often you might try it nice and slow. Start replacing 10% new flavor, seeing how his stools are the next day. Soft= stay at that ratio, firm= increase ratio, is how I do it with Korra. |

| My dogs can switch dog food cold turkey and they have no problems; but I've been doing that for over a year now. Start the switch slow, and then eventually you can make it to where you can switch every month if you want and they will have no problems.
Switching in the same brand, like Rhia said, is super easy. Since it's the same brand, I personally would just switch it. But, if he had problems in the past, it may be beneficial to do it slow. |

| Kelsey's got a good point there- cold turkey can be done, just start switching slow at first, then start incorporating variety/switching more often and toughen that tummy up! |

Agreed. I got to feed Nutrisca to my dogs as part of a market trial and provide feedback to the company on the food before it hit the market. All of my dogs (back when my pack included Faith and Glory) not only loved Nutrisca but they all did quite well on it. I haven't bought it since it came out, I only fed the trial food pre-launch but I was pretty happy with it when my dogs were eating it. _________________ |

| Thanks everyone! Koda loves nutrisca and im happy with it as well. I fill his kong with it and freeE it and he loves that for a snack. I dont even add anything to the kong just his food and i run a little water through it. Its the only food i found koda does good on. He came home with purina one, i switched him to BBW, then earthborn them nutrisca all in like 2-3 months. But once nutrisca started it was great. In my last pawalla box i actually got a can of the nutrisca turkey wet food. Im doubt i will give to koda though since he might have a turkey alergy. I think when i have extra money i will buy a extra bag of the other flavor and just mix a little in to his kong with his old and see how he does first. |
