| I'm just curious if Lycus is considered a splash coat. Lol, I've never really put much consideration into what type of fur color he would be categorized in so I'm hoping for a few opinions. To me this was the closes one but I could be completely wrong lol. http://www.huskycolors.com/cassy.html Here is the best picture I could get of his color. |

| Hmm. He's such a light color that it's almost hard to tell, but I would say he is. His back is darker and seems to break at the shoulders and go white. Alki has a splash coat. He's black on his back and head white on the neck. |

| Nope, I would say he's just grey. Nothing wrong with that. My female has a small white patch on her back, but I don't think of her as a splash coat. |

What would make a splash coat then? Lol, I'm just curious. Would they have to have a darker color? |

| I thought the white break between the colors like that was indicative of it. Whoops. D: learn something new every day. Haha. |

| From what I know, it needs to be more than just one little patch on the neck for splash - it's like a piebald, but the more dark than white, but it should eb significant splashing. |

| I'd call Alki a black/white with a shaw and Sophie a red/white with a shaw. The reason I would do this is because their body color is the more traditional 'blanket' color you'd see just with the white collar break vs having a sloppy pattern to the body color.
But since splash is just a pattern, not a registrable trait I suppose you could say they were whatever makes you the happiest, lovely huskies |

I thought Alki would be a splash just because his coat doesn't look standard where the black meets the white on his side on both sides and he has like a white splotch on his neck. Woops. D: |

| What do you call it when they have just a little splash of white on their neck, but it doesn't go all the way around like the others posted? _________________ -Sara |

| You'd call that a white spot LOL, not every little mark has a unique name, it's certainly a unique identifying mark though. |

| Her dad has a similar mark and I've seen it on a few others like Fizzy. Just thought it might be called something. Oh well. Yeah, Elara is very unique. She's the only siberian I know that has a cowlick on her muzzle! _________________ -Sara |
