| I had heard about things like this, but it was a very interesting thing to experience it first-hand. There is a girl I had been seeing briefly. On our third date she came over to my place. Now, in her defense, it was a nasty night and she had to run a few yards from her car to my place in the rain, so maybe she was out of sorts... but when I let her in, Okami came over to greet her, attempting to jump up on her (I know, I'm working on it) and the girl literally turned away, pulling her arms close and giving a look of disgust- as if my dog was some unclean thing. It was amazing; in the matter of one second, before my very eyes, this girl suddenly became unattractive and my desire to see her ever again was gone. Magic. That was the last time we got together. Don't force me to choose between the dog and you. I wont miss you. ;-) |

| HAHA at first i thought you were going to say Okami goosed her! (huskies like to nip your butt!) but for her to act that way i think it would turn me off as well. some people are just not dog people and its best to find that at ASAP. _________________ |

| HAHA! Good riddance! I'm so glad my Bf loves Kale. He has 8 dogs of his own! Well, ranch dogs, but he loves them passionately. It's amazing how our pets have a way of allowing us to see things in a different way, things that would have taken us years to process through perhaps! |

| My mother always said she should have listened to her horse when it came to my father. Shania knew a friend's girl didn't like dogs. So she got up on the bench with her. The girl demanded that we make her move, which is when my husband replied "Why? She was here first." Don't come into my house and demand what my dogs do. |

| My girlfriend tried to pull the "I'm not sleeping on a bed with a dog" act... and not 10 minutes later she was trying to get him to lay on her and use him as a comforter. Silly women. _________________ Posts made by me are not associated or approved by itsahuskything.com. | That's awesome Tyler! You don't need anybody (especially a potential GF) not liking your baby. I seriously take it personally when somebody doesn't like my dogs! We've stopped having get togethers with my husbands friends at our house because most of them seemed bothered by our dogs. One even asked us to put them "away". I said ummm no. Really pisses me off! It's their house NOT YOURS! |

| Yeah- and the main reason I'm even thinking about this today is that a mutual friend apparently sent her this pic- not realizing we had not spoken since that night. Ha. |

| I've always heard that animals were a great judge of character. A bf not liking my dogs would be a deal breaker for me too. I even have a sign in my house, "Love me, love my dogs". |

Yeah- Okami seems to like everyone. If she ever showed hesitance or resistance to someone, I would take that into serious consideration. |

| Good for you Tyler! I've only had one person not like my dogs, and it's my current BF lol. He had problems with Diesel because he was aggressive. And he doesn't like inside dogs, especially huskies. But he is in love with Indy. The only thing that really bothers him is that he stays inside, and there is absolutely NO WAY that he will ever stay outside! We made an agreement before I adopted Indy that "if the dog goes, I go with him!" Haha My dogs come first before even myself, if you don't like it don't come back! |

| I have had my dog Hailey my chiuwawa not like a girl before lol. It was funny. She wouldnt take her eyes off her at all. She would moved the dogs eyes would follow her every move. And Hailey wouldnt move, would only sit on my lap. Then she started getting creeped out a bit by it. So came up with the idea and told her to come over by me. Once she took that first step towards me.. Oh boy Hailey stood up and got all protective barking, growling the whole 10 yards. That sort of ruined the night there. And there has been times that she would like others over me lol. Josie on the other hand. She loves everybody but people that smoke. She must not like the smell of cigarettes or something :/ |

| I'm late to the party on this one, but I just wanted to say I love this post! I always trust my dog's judge of character and it makes me happy to hear when others do too! If my kids don't like you then you're out of luck! |

| in her defense, i don't like when strangers dogs jump on me. Maybe she just didn't understand the husky greeting? But Kiba can (and does) jump on me every day and since she's mine, i don't care one bit. But on the the other paw, if i was interested in a guy id probably at least TRY to like his dog too and overlook something silly like that. I don't get people who don't like dogs. My dog is my family |

| Truth.
A guy I was talking to thought I was crazy for not only getting a dog, but taking her to the park and stuff. We didn't talk much after that.
But I trust her judge of character almost completely. She is so crazy about everyone she meets that if she's standoffish about someone, I figure something must be up. |

| I'm just seeing this. Dogs are a great judge of character. Anyone who acts disgusted at a friendly dog trying to say hello is NOT okay in my book. Nice pic, by the way |

| My hubby was actually initially afraid of dogs due to issues in childhood (i.e. dad brought a puppy home to an overworked mom taking care of six kids and the only time the dog got off the cord outside was when dad was home and then all he did was knock the kids down, not a fun experience for either the dog or the boys.) So I knew this was going to be something to work on. I was not going to raise my children to be afriad of dogs or have a husband that was (because its the fear that sets a dog off). All I've got to say is that Karli has daddy wrapped around her dew claw. She got spayed and he just sat with her when he got home and let her cuddle with him. So I was glad I could convert my husband. And no dog has ever disliked him so I knew it was just him getting past his own fears.
But for her to react like that? Nuh-uh! Not appropriate. They say that children and animals can sense things we can't. Guess we should pay attention to that right? |

| Good for you. If I was single, there would be no way I would date a woman if she didn't like dogs. My wife is a dog person more than me. If it was up to her, we would have 10. |
