| I got a call at the crack of 8:30 in the morning on Sunday (this is WAY to early for me because I work nights) by a friend who's co-worker's roommate has a six month old husky pup that needs home. I wasn't home, so I called my mom and she told me to call my dad. I was going to wait to call my dad until after his shift but about half an hour later, mom called me back and said, "Merry Christmas, tie a ribbon to his ass." I'm not sure how she got dad to agree but I picked him up the next evening and now Nunya has a baby brother :] In tradition of the bizarre names, we named him Nosey Bastard, Snoopy for short, so when someone asks what our dogs' names are we can say, "Nunya Damn Business, Nosey Bastard." We tried to think of something that could be turned into a better husky name but we couldn't come up with anything. Snoopy, still growing into those ears! Waiting in line at the vet was sooo exciting, he decided to take a nap. There was a dog sitting less than half a foot away from his back feet. Getting in was a struggle at first but one he understood that I wasn't taking any sas he calmed down. He's so much stockier than Nunya, but Nunya's tall and lean. I weighed the boys and Snoopy weighs 51.6 lbs, where Nunya only weighs 53.8 lbs at twice his age. I have a feeling Snoopy's going to be a cow of a dog lol Snoopy is a humper so we're working on that, they both resource guard against other dogs so that's getting worked on too. Other than that, there doesn't seem to be any other behavioural problems, which is surprising, considering he was in a kennel almost 24/7. He DID however, poop, pee, and vomit on the floor the first night but those were the only accidents. He's a sweetheart and a cuddler. It doesn't seem like he's had much positive training though, getting him to understand treats was slow but once he understood that food comes from people when he does what is asked, he's learning how to lay down, stay, and come when called nicely. He didn't know what the snow was and mom had to push him out the door and then he and Nunya had a blast haha |

| Congratulations on your new pup! He's going to be HUGE! Tika was about 23 pounds at 6 months! Snoopy will be quite the big boy. 2 is a lot of fun, its a lot of work, but definatly worth it. |

| It's a lot of fun, we've only had a few scuffles. I really like how self-confident he is, nothing seems to shake him up, not even the vacuum haha He's curious about the cats but doesn't bother them. He likes to lay on my feet and the longer we have him the more he enjoys being touched. He's getting less dodgy about strange hands since he's been getting introduced to everybody. He had some moments today where when I invited him to jump up for some close attention he wrapped his front legs around my leg like he was going to hump me but then he just sat down and waited to be petted. I didn't have to correct him at all :] - Shorty4lyfe89 wrote:
