| My pup is 2 months and 3 weeks old. His breeder told me to feed him twice a day starting out at 1/4th a cup gradually increasing to 3/4 a cup. Then once he is 6 months of age only feed him 3-4 cups a day. Is this OK? To me and to others I have talked to about this it doesn't seem like its enough food. Hes really skinny. All fur. Not sure if that's normal or not since this is my first husky pup. |

| Balon is 4 months and I just dropped him to two feedings a day. He gets 1 1/2 cups at both feedings so 3 cups a day, he weighs about 27 lbs but is going to vet Friday for lymes shot so I will have him weighed then, |

| It depends on his weight. My breeder told me something similar with my pup. I then switched his food and started doing it based on his weight. 3-4 cup's seems like a lot of food, but other's may have a different opinion. |

| Personally I feel that's not enough food at all. I would feed 3 times a day about 3/4 what the bag is telling you to feed overall. _________________ Force Free Training ThreadCheyenne, Mishka, Mickey, Rodeo, & Odin Are you a Husky owner in South Florida?! Join our facebook meetup group! |

| I got Rogue at 9 weeks and have always fed her 1/2 cup 2x a day regardless of what I was feeding her. She's 13 months now. She's never been skinny after I got her initial weight up after adopting her. I am a terrible person and never look at recommended feeding and just do what I think and adjust if they gain or lose weight when not wanted.
She also gets a lot of treats, though, haha. |

| It depends on the food too. Personally, I'm like Heather and feed what I think is right and adjust it based on how they react to it. However, if you're feeding a high quality food, you won't need to feed as much. Low quality food and that doesn't sound like enough food at all. _________________ www.itsahuskything.com It's a husky thing... you wouldn't understand. |

| when i got my pup i was underfeeing her by a cup a day and when i started to see her hip bones, i freaked. a bunch of people on here gave me good suggestions and i went from 1/2 cup in am and 1/2 cup in pm to 1 1/2 in morning and 1 1/2 in the evening and this seems to be perfect. |

| Dalton is 9 mos. and we' started feeding him 2X a day at 6mos. I would recommend feeding her 3X a day for a bit longer, and then dropping it to twice feeding the same amount that you would if it were 3X. We generally go by his weight and adjust if he's not finishing it all etc. he's around 45lbs and gets 3-4 cups a day. The recommended amount on the back of the food bag can be a good starting point for how much to feed her, then you can adjust as necessary. |
