2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

We have a 5 yr old, neutered husky who won stop marking. We adopted him last September which is when he was neutered. He doesn't do it consistently and never in front of us so it's impossible to correct him. We leave him outside during the day, but he usually does it when we leave the room. He only marks three spots In three different rooms ( the corner of our bed, the toilet and the corner of our leather couch. We had the carpets professionally cleaned, I've bought all of the pet odor neutralizes I can find, but nothing, The trainer said he has no ideas since we never see him do it. I'm so sick of the smell and washing blankets. Does anyone have any ideas? Leaving him outside permanently isn't an option for us.

How much daily exercise does he get? And do you incorporate the use of a crate?

You could always use a belly band while curbing the problem by rewarding for urinating while outside on walks as well as crating while you aren't at home to prevent it from happening on his "spots."

We do a ton of outdoor play time, daily walks. We tried crating and restricting to a room, but he was abused pretty badly before we adopted him and he has horrible anxiety when restrained to the point that he's a danger to himself. We either leave him out in the house with our other dog (who has never marked inside) or outside. Other than the random marking, he's great when alone. I did not know about the belly band. I'll have to look that up. Thank you!
