Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

Bode has been bonkers today. I went to take him for a walk to get some energy out, and that wasn't happening. He is normally pretty good for walks. He gets really excited when we get his harness and leash on, but once we get walking he calms down. We got out the door today and started walking and he just would not stop jumping on me and biting at my hands. It's been really crummy weather, so we haven't gone to the dog park this weekend. And here I was hoping my angel puppy would somehow skip this step...

How old is Bode now? Kody hit that teenage stage hard! Shocked Thank god it's over...well sorta. I say sorta b/c now with Ms. Asia he's being a little naughty again, but overall a good boy.

It definitely sounds like he's hit the teenage phase. Lycus hit his teenage phase around 7 months as well and I'm still waiting for it to end and he's 1 year old now lol.

Freya has started destorying things. She's not chewed anything up since she was about 4 months old. But recently she's destroyed 3 of her teddies and attempted to kill somne of the boys toys.

My son's birthday was the other day and his present has already been chewed. She's not a terror or anything, she's just behaving in a way that I find unacceptable. She's also jumping on me which she would ordinarily not do because she knowes it's an unwanted behaviour.

She's coming up for 8 months

Yuki has been an absolute terror and has destroyed everything and got into every sort of trouble she could think of before she even hit 4 months. I'm not sure if I'm going to survive the teenage phase.. lord help me xD

It's like someone literally flipped a switch in his brain. He has never chewed anything in our house, or even come close to it. Yet this morning, I was woken up by a strange gnawing sound. Turns out he was chewing on the leg of the TV stand. I don't want to have to go back to crating him at night. He sleeps so much longer when he's out.

Sara - Lola just turned a year and I am so with you as far as this chewing thing goes. It is like a switch flipped. I hope it flips off soon.
