| i have a barely 3 month old siberian named Nanook. he has only been with me 3 days, so he is still adjusting. the problem is that he goes potty quite often. He is drinking a lot of water, and he is also a puppy so i expect him to go to the bathroom often, but this is more than "often". as in a couple times every hour. is this normal? or should i be concerned about a UTI or something? |

| That can be normal. Is he really active? Cato would pee after everything - play, sleep, eat, anything. Does it happen when he's sleeping at night? |

| I would say normal, especially if he's drinking a lot of water. When Ghost was that age we'd have to take her out every 20-30 minutes, and sometimes we had accidents in between. If it seems like he doesn't know he's peeing (like peeing while he walks around) or he's peeing while crated (assuming the crate is the appropriate size), that would be cause to take him to the vet. Try setting a schedule, seriously with 20 minute intervals when he's not sleeping or crated, and work up from there. _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. | He does drink a TON of water throughout the day so i assumed that was a huge factor. He has been getting a lot better, only has had one accident at night time otherwise he is pretty good at sleeping through the night. I figured it was normal, we just need to get on a more frequent routine to take him out. Thank you all for the replies! |

| yea actually the couple i got him from did his first round of shots, and i just took him on saturday to get his second 5 in 1 shot, nasal bordetalla, and a second deworming. i take him back in 4 weeks to get his last round of shots and his rabies vaccine. Even in just the past 2 days he has improved greatly on his peeing in the house (as have we on taking him out more regularly). thanks for all the help, ill keep you updated! |

| I just got my second pup about 3 weeks ago, and he is 10 weeks old now. He pees ALL the time! It does not seem like he drinks a lot of water, but I probably take him out once or twice an hour. As soon as he wakes up or after playing I take him out right away.
He poops more than my other dog did, though. He probably poops like 6 or 7 times a day. Im keeping count today just to see how much though lol.
He has only peed once in his crate though. At night I take the water away around 7pm and we go to bed at 10pm. He usually makes it until almost 6am, but sometimes he will wake up around 4 if he’s had water too late.
