| I am thinking of switching to partially raw since I still have 2 15lbs bag of TOTW. Titus have always been picky in kibble and he lost weight the past two weeks because he doesn't really touch his food. In his last vet check two days ago, he went from 70lb to 60lb and his ribs are showing. I read some post on this forum and think that raw might be an option. I gave him some raw meat a couple of time when I'm cooking and he loves it.
My only concern is the bacteria in raw meat and will he get wild after eating raw. Is this a fact or myth? Will they be healthier? I have also check the Odin's Project website in which this man believe that raw is healthier and his dogs can live longer without the cancer etc. I have no experience whatsoever in feeding raw and I need desperate help here. How do I work my way around feeding raw? Can my 14 weeks old puppy have it as well? They are both on monthly flea and worm treatment, the Advocate as well as a once every 3 months tapeworm pill.
I have heard about the prey model and I've go through some really exciting raw dinner photos in this forum. I would really appreciate it if some experienced raw feeder can lend me a hand in this. |

| I'm no expert on RAW but I have done a fair bit of research into it.
To answer some of your questions:
No, your dog wont get blood thirsty after eating RAW, it's a complete myth. Yes, they will be healthier, their digestion will be more effecient, their joints benifit, their coats teeth, eyes. Everything beinifits from a RAW diet. A puppy can have RAW as soon as it iws weaned from it's mother. So yes, your 14 week old puppy can have it.
I only do partial raw feeding. Freya has dry food in the mornings and RAW at night, with RAW bones throughout the daty and at night before bed.
There are heaps of experienced RAW feeders here so I'm sure you'll get heaps of great advice. |

| Thanks, I went to the pet deli today to get some chicken necks for Titus as a usual treat and bought an extra kg of lean beef for the puppy Lycan. I left them and the things in the car and went to the grocery store for 10 minutes. Came back, the kg of lean beef is gone and Titus is guarding his bag of chicken necks at a corner. Apparently the little one managed to pull the food out from under the chair and dive happily into it. Titus is afraid Lycan might get his chicken necks so he took it and hide it in the back seat. |

| Freya is nearly 16 weeks, she goes through chicken necks in about 1 minute. They are good as a treat, but thats about it lol. On hot days I give them to her frozen. |
