Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. | My name is Alisha and I am Ceylan (Sib Husky) and Chloe's (Chihuahua) human. My husband and I bought Ceylan from Turkey when we were stationed there back in 2010. Her birthday is April 6th, and she loves the water and going to the dog park to play with her friends. Ceylan is 1yr and 5mo old, and Chloe is 14yrs old. Ceylan was supposed to be a birthday present for my husband, but somehow she has chosen me . I always poke fun that Ceylan is supposed to be his dog, lol. They both still love their Daddy, but are for sure Momma's girls. Ceylan came into our home and was raised around two smaller dogs, so she has the mind set sometimes that she is as small as them. The other lil one I am talking about is Peanut and he was a Yorkiepoo. Peanut was to turn 4yrs old on Aug 3, but he passed away unexpectedly on July 1 this year. I know both of my girls miss their brother, but we try to keep them and our selves busy to keep the depression from kicking in. Of course, this would be easier if Ceylan was not in her cycle . That is all for now, hope to talk and meet some new people on here. |

| Welcome to the forum! I lived in Moore until June, and then got transferred to Florida. You guys away from the fires?
Ceylan is a beautiful girl, and I'm so sorry to hear about Peanut. _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. | Glad you found it Alisha! It was fun to visit with you at the August meetup and I'm glad to have another Okie on this wonderful forum. There is really a lot of great information within its pages. Looking forward to actually meeting Ceylan in person. |

| Are you/your husband in the military? Have to ask since you were 'stationed' in Turkey. My husband is Army. Ceylan is a gorgeous girl! My older sibe lived with 3 chihuahuas and he absolutely loved them. The chi girls COMPLETELY ran the show though and could bully him, it was always funny to watch and people always laughed when I told them that . He is a small dog lover. Mine we're all older as well, but 10-11 years old. So sorry to hear about Peanut, losing a pet is the worst feeling. But welcome to the forum! |
