Currently our dogs both get fish oil but are on different food. Aries (the Sheltie mix) is on Solid Gold Hund-N-Flocken Adult Dog Lamb and Akira is on Adult Dog Chow. (I know, but she has a sensitive tummy and this is what she was fed before we got her. She has no skin problems seems healthy as ever). We really don't have the money to switch her over to a more expensive feed right now as she obviously eats more than Aries. Brushing and fish oil have helped Aries skin, but its still dry. (Aries is sort of a picky eater, she now refuses to eat Natural Balance after reluctantly going through 2 bags of it) So, my question is what dry dog food do you think works best for dry skin? If its affordable enough it would be nice to switch both dogs to it, but if not Aries is the main concern. (Both dogs are about 4 years old now if that helps). When we buy our own house and have more freezer space we would like to switch them both to a raw diet, as Chase and I both eat healthy organic foods, we would like our dogs to benefit from the same. But, for now, they have to stick with dry food.

I'd go with Taste Of The Wild salmon, its a good quality food and it seems to work so well with many other sensitive stomach Huskies. Plus I believe it cost less then the Solid Gold, which if I recall Adobo wasn't to keen on it.

I second Taste of the Wild Pacific stream or whatever it is, salmon one. That is the one i have and Cali is doing great on it and her few small issues with coat has been cleaned up nicely. Cali's previous home had her on whatever they could get, probably not even rated on dogfoodadvisor's listing. And she isn't too picky about TOTW. Usually eats it without any fusses- at times she does though- drama queen

Mine are on TOTW as well. You can get it discounted with wag.com right now with a code. I have yet to pay full price for it since wag.com has discounts all the time.

They have a first time buyer discount code that is actualy a better deal. It's code: WAGPET Edited to add that you could get two great deals....use the WAGPET for your first time buy and then use the other code. Just spend $49 and it's free shipping on both purchases. |

Looks like Taste of the Wild is a winner by a landslide. Aries's food is running low so I'll buy some soon and start mixing her feed to get her used to it. Thanks everyone!
