Hello,
I have been trying to find a place to rent in souther New Hampshire but everywhere I look has dog restrictions and for whatever reason Huskies are on it.  My wife and I are separating and I need my dogs with me. If anyone knows of a place please reach out to me. Thank you.  Moderators, if this is the wrong place for this i am sorry. Please let me know where i should put this.Need a home in Southern NH B88e1a10

What pretty dogs. Hate to say it but huskies getting banned is happening here in Colorado also. One work around is getting liability insurance on your dog. State farm offers it. Usually having a liability policy on your dogs will get you around breed restrictions. I have family in northern nh near north conway. Housing is bad everywhere. Best of luck. You might even want to look for an rv as a short/mid length interim solution until you can find somewhere.

I would live in a tent before i got rid of my dogs.

One the first count, I have to agree those are some beautiful dogs!

On the second, with tongue solidly in cheek, I've seen people trying to rehome dogs ... it's not very often I see a note requesting a home for their owners ...

And I definitely agree with @lostmaniac, I'd find a tent and a park before I'd let any of my dogs go.

Good luck finding something / someplace where you can live.

Someone here had an ad posted on the bulletin board "looking for a home for 2 pitbulls and 4 small children" looked like he was giving his kids away also. Him wife kids and dogs spent a year in a motel before they found somewhere ok with 2 pitties. Even without dogs housing is hard right now. Here, houses are empty after all the money they lost not being able to evict people. Yet another covid related crisis that from my understanding is happening all over the country.

My mortgage is less then most people pay for rent. That may be the best option.

Not in southern NH it isn't. Very expensive place to buy a house.

Was trying to figure out why southern NH would be expensive - a short commute to Boston and probably within train commute of NYC <???> Yeh, big cities bring high prices.

Population density is huge. Many commute to Boston or suburbs. Highly educated workforce, tech, engineering, medical, higher education One of my son's lives in Massachusetts close to the NH border. His mortgage is unbelievable. We left the Boston area over 30 years ago because housing was so expensive. And I'm a country girl at heart, I need some green around me and the traffic out that way was abysmal even then.

My 3rd grandpa (stepdads father) is up in the morth conway area right near attitash, and we looked up there and it wasn't too bad. But thats up in the white mountains.

Alot of the denver area is avg over $500k. My neighborhood non manufactured homes avg 250k. Mine was significantly less then that, but my house didnt have a working kitchen and you could see daylight through the chinking when we moved in.
