| Hoping someone has some insight on dogs and green tea.. I know it has it's benefits, but I've also read that "too much" of it can cause digestion issues and other things of the sort. Nature's Variety's new LID formulas have freeze dried green tea coating.. I wanted to try it out but I don't know much on it being in dog food. |

| You're right Heather, green tea does have it's benefits and too much of a good thing can be a bad thing. I would think that Nature's Variety would have the sense not to put a controversial amount in their new LID formulas and a quick look at the ingredients shows that the green tea is actually almost the last (3rd from the last) ingredient listed on the bag so the amount of green tea in the new food is so small it should not produce negative digestive effects. By that same token though, because of how little green tea the NV LID formulas contain I honestly wouldn't expect dogs to get hardly any benefit from it either.
I wouldn't ever supplement dogs with green tea for antioxidants (there are other safer ingredients that I would use instead such as blueberries for example), however I would not be turned away from NV's LID formulas over the tiny bit of included green tea. That's just my take on it. _________________ |

Yes, I would feel comfortable feeding their LID formulas to my dogs. _________________ |
