Hello everyone! My name is Jessie and I recently bought a Husky puppy. This is the fourth Husky I've owned. He's a little different from the other Huskies I've had. I don't remember my last Husky being this active as a puppy, and the two before that came to me as adults. The activity level doesn't bother me, though. He loves to shred toilet paper and chew on cardboard tubes that he's scavenged from the trash can. He also has an underwear fetish. I woke up one morning to find my underwear strewn all over the bedroom but the rest of my laundry was left alone. Hmmm... Strange dog. I hope that isn't going to become a habit. I think it's time to move the laundry basket out of the bedroom! Anyway, we are working diligently on house training right now. In about a month, he begins his first puppy obedience class. This summer, I'll be entering him in Conformation shows, and then when he's old enough, we'll begin bikejoring I'm glad I found these forums! Here is Suka in all his 10-week-old glory!

Welcome to the forum, Jessie! Suka is adorable Yes, an underwear shredding fetish can be quite a problem, lolol I don't doubt how active he can be as my Red seems to have a limitless amount of energy (she played roughly 3-4 hrs straight with another pup one time with about 5-10 min breaks in between, I couldn't believe it!). Good luck with training!

What a beautiful pup! He's in good hands with a seasoned husky owner! With all of his energy he'll be perfect for bikejoring! I watch youtube videos on it and I'm amazed. Lots of great info here

Thanks for the welcome, everyone! I am amazed by how much Suka has changed in such a short period of time. Yesterday, I noticed the super soft puppy fur is gone from his croup. It's only on his head and neck now. I love the adult coloring he's starting to get. He has the most unusual coat color. He is considered a red and white on paper, but I was told many people will consider him a "red agouti." I'd never heard of it before so I had to do some research and discovered it's a thing. So that was something new for me. He starts puppy classes in two weeks. He's already doing well with sit and shake. We're working on down, and while he knows how to do it if I put my hand to the floor, he's still learning to pair the word up with the action. I decided not to work on loose leash walking until the class because it's a more difficult thing to teach a Husky. I think the structure of the class will be good for him in regards to learning that. I purchased him as a show prospect, but he has a ton of wrinkles on his face. I'm sure he'll grow into them, but the possibility he might not worries me. Has anyone experienced Huskies with face wrinkles? I can't remember if my last puppy had them or not. I also want to participate in competition obedience, which I'm sure is going to be a challenge with a Husky, but it's one I welcome!

I've not had a pup in a long time so I'll let someone else handle that. I love how defined his stocking is though. _________________

Jessie, just seen this thread. Suka is very beautiful. I have a 6 month old GSD, and she has face wrinkles too, haha, I am not the only one. I am crossing my fingers that she grows into them as well, although at times I think they look adorable on her.

My (limited) research online is turning up that all puppies grow into their wrinkles, even English Bulldogs and Shar Peis (though they retain some of them). I'm hoping that's the case here too. I think they're cute, but I won't be able to show him with the wrinkles if they stick around. If I can't show him in Conformation, that just means I'll focus my energy on bikejoring and competition obedience.
