| I also vote to pick the squash. I think the small, tender ones are the best. I remember having trouble with spinach and leaf lettuce "bolting" (that's what my Mom called it). I just googled "spinach bolting" and there seems to be some advice for slowing it down or preventing it on the web. Looks good! I wish we had enough sun for a few veggies... |

| Very pretty! Everything here is suffering from the intense summer heat, all day sun, and lack of rain. I so envy your garden! _________________ |

| Picked the first 2 zukes from the garden tonight. Every time I'm about to be over whelmed by zukes the damn squash beetles invade and destroy the plants in a weeks time. |

| i picked up free sod on tue morning i love my Element!!! this is where its going figured i should start with the most done corner in the yard. 1.5hrs later we have .5% of the yard with grass! got to get a husky in there! im sad i was short 3 rolls, thinking of seeing if one of the big box stores has sod over the weekend to finish it out or drive around looking for yard work being done! now lets hope i can keep it alive till i do the sprinkler system next spring. _________________ |

| Wow Jenn, that looks great! Did you do that stone work yourself? It will be really neat to see how things look when its done, and good luck finding sod! _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. | Meredith, i have done EVERYTHING at the house when it comes to the landscaping. that flagstone was another steal off of craigs list. took me a weekend to do. were gonna do the same thing on the other corner garden. i started with the raised beds in the corner one summer then added the smaller ones on each side then added the flagstone and now some grass. one day it will come together. look at my FB albums as i think i have pics there on the yard or in the main off topic area here. i love doing landscaping just with we had the $ to finish it all!! _________________ |

| That's really impressive. There was so much I wanted to do with my house in Oklahoma but never had the time to do more than just small projects, and now that I'm renting again I really don't care. I will have to go peruse your albums now that I have some time on my hands. _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword.
