Forum Rules | 1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule. |

I'll start---Nutmeg does this very odd thing with me. She's very cat-like--good thing, I'm much more a cat person than a dog person <ducks> Don't shoot me! Anyway, she likes to come up and rub on my legs like a cat to be petted. This has now morphed into (what I think) is a very odd way of greeting me. She now comes up, puts her head up and sticks her nose between my lower thighs to be petted around the collar. When she wants her shoulders petted, she drops her head down to between my knees, puts her WHOLE head between my knees. arches her back and asks for her shoulders to be rubbed. If I rub any further back than her shoulders, she backs away. But she'll stand there forever and get her collar, neck and shoulders rubbed with her nose or head firmly planted between my legs. And if I stop rubbing too soon, she'll goose me with her nose in a very <ahem> personal place She can be a very strange little dog sometimes......

Well Sierra is funny and most times if she is laying on the ground on her side and if you even look at her she will lift up her hind leg like she is saying you better get over here and rub my belly! Jack is a vocal boy and if i come over to him to give him some love he will make funny noises like hey leave me alone im resting! i don't and keep petting him _________________

Kody is the kissing bandit!!! You ask him for a kiss and you get it right on the nose! He's a kiss freak! He's also VERY jealous! If you're giving Mya love he'll come and go off WOOOing at you like hey pay attention to me here...or maybe he's saying...hey leave Mya alone she's mine Other than Mya's giving "coochie" LOL!! She likes to tan on Sundays...but only Sundays! haha

It's rare when Dakota asks for attention, but when he does, he will come over to me, turn around and sit with his back to me and then look up and over at me until I start petting him. He also prances and snorts like a horse when he plays with me. I've never seen a dog do that before. It's sad to say, but I can't think of any odd quirky things Willow does....
