| Charles has the pup been cleared of parasites and worms? That is the most common reasons for diarrhea. I see nowhere on this package that this food is grain free:

What are you currently feeding? My apologies but there have been several puppy food questions lately, and so many different foods being fed..... |

| I thought it was the Authority, if you are talking about the large breed puppy formula, then I imagine it's ok, it has less grains than the one I mentioned above. The large breed uses rice and not wheat or corn. I have to ask tho, there are brands out there better than Nutro that cost about the same. Is Petco the only dog food place close to you? If so I can take a look and give you some ideas on what to buy. How long did you try the Authority? Sometimes people don't try a food long enough to actually see results. Also, it could be chicken that is causing the issue, or potatoes....In any event let me know if it is Petco that you have access to and I can give you some ideas. |

| Is what you bought today different than what you have been feeding? I ask because this is a very good food, for the price point, I can not think of another food that is this good....
At the price point of Nutro and Authority, then yes Nutro would be an ok food to try IF it is the large breed puppy, the other puppy formula is not grain free, even tho it says it is, strange, but yep I read the ingredients. I couldn't figure out the UPC code you gave me. So if you do not feel the Authority isn't working, then out of the choices available to you then the Nutro large breed puppy would be a choice to switch to. Now I will mention there is a great site if you haven't heard of them called Chewy.com with every food made known to man, that may be something to look into and compare prices you are currently paying to find a better food to feed. If I were to choose between Authority or Nutro I would go with the Authority, it's a better food. However, your pup may do better on a food that contains rice that the Nutro has. Keep asking questions happy to help. |

| No problem!! I would go longer than a week tho. Often times it can take up to a month to clear the system of tummy issues. In fact with food allergies, quite often it is recommended to go 8-12 weeks before seeing a change. So hang in there and keep the pup hydrated, and yes please give updates! |
