It was time to start back on some 14ers here, i don't think i have done one in over a year. Eddy's mom lives in Snowmass now, outside of Aspen and invited me to spend the night and knock out a 14er the next day. Took me over 3.5hrs to drive there after work on Friday night. I left the dogs home for 2 reasons, spending the night at her house and i was not sure how long the trek would be, it read 9.5miles on the reports but in the end we came up shorter. Jack in my mind could have done this one, Sierra, no way with all the rocks.

RT was 7h 54min, 8.77 miles and 4,544 ft of elevation gain. It was the hardest summit i have done this yr, it could have been cause it was just hard or the fact that i was moving on 2 nights of no sleep and having a killer work out friday morning...

anyways on to the best part, some pictures, i tried to include more of the path we took, sorry no Jack or Sierra to look at.

I seriously am in love with your pictures and adventures. I'm not going to lie though some of the photos of the drops/heights makes me a little queasy. Lol. I wonder if I could even handle the height of some of these but the views and majesty would make it worth it.

The scenery is just stunning, beautiful pics!!! Soon as it cools down a little here, I want to find more places to hike .

Ugh, altitude sickness...I cannot imagine. Only once, we are at 12-14 MSL in the airplane - both Josh and I were getting queezy and anxious, finally went on oxygen and immediately better (technically only the pilot "needed" it, only need to "offer" it to passengers.) Nope, don't like the altitudes

I think all my hiking this summer will be "hiking without dogs."
It's been over 100 degrees the last three days- 22 days over 90 so far this summer- the average is 12- when we hit the record of 24, it will be the hottest summer ever in the PNW.

The "blob" of hot water in the eastern Pacific needs to go away.

Michael, sucks you are having such a crappy summer, ours was delayed with snow and rain, hoping for a long fall to still get out.

Amy, I take the pictures for myself and to share, my camera is no where good enough to think of selling pics, glad so many enjoy them.
i don't know what flower/weed? that is, but the sucker hurts if you run into it!
