| It's a little inconsiderate of you to keep all the snow to yourself and not send any my way.
Just sayin.
Great pics! |

| Awesome pictures. What are the trails you run on? Are they back roads or snowmobile trails or what? |

| This trail was a groomed trail for snowmobiles and X-country skiing. The best part is the trail was just groomed that morning and only a couple of snowmobiles had been out on the trail before we got there so it was near perfect! |

| Great pics, and that trail looks amazing! Some of the trails we use to run on were so narrow, that it was hard to compete with snowmobile traffic. |

| So far we've been really lucky. The snowmobiles we have met on the trail are super nice and courteous to us and we're using trails that are easy to share. |

| I hate this winter,we had little snow.Feel free to send snow over our way! It's either above average(suppose to be 54 on Thursday, there predicting thunderstorms too...)or below average(we had negative -6 for the high). That's Wisconsin for you!
Great picture by the way,& beautiful Team.Wishing you the best of luck next weekend. |

| Thanks! Getting Nervous/Excited about the race coming up....and for the future of the team. Adding the girls in after the race for more training runs, hoping to add some new members additional to that next year so I can retire my 'old' guys but still be able to grow into a 6 dog team! So much going on and we're starting our show season next month as well! |

| Fantastic shots. I am very jealous of you lot across the pond. We've had 2 bouts of snow, one lasted 2-3 weeks but Pen was in season so I couldn't fully enjoy it and the 2nd bout lasted a day |

| We were blessed with one of the best snow seasons in ages this year. Very lucky As our snow is melting away I have to start considering pulling the cart back out to do some lower elevation training. |

| Both come down from Karen Yeargain's Tumnatki Siberians. Cooper and Mason's father Roper both run on Jill Wilson's Dashing Siberians Team. Mason, I acquired from Karen. |

| Very cool! So awesome that they can run together.
I'm so far off from getting another dog and know vey little about dogs that are bred for working versus companions, but Mason is one of my absolute favorites. They're both so, so gorgeous. |

| It is very nice having Jill so close, and to be able to help her out so she isn't having to run two teams each time she goes out is a benefit we both share Cooper added a whole new level to the team that was very exciting, she's a much better pace setter than any of my others have been. Mason has been one of the best dogs I have ever brought into my kennel, though I may not ever get another Mason I will strongly consider another dog from Karen in the future. I just wish they were more my 'style' of Siberian lol. I'm currently looking at Jill's lines which are still along the same build as Mason as well as 2 other working Siberian kennels that are more breed type but still functional. Who knows what our future holds, I'm hoping to do more mid-distance races this fall/winter. |

| I need to move. I find the whole sledding/racing, but there is zero of that down here that I can find, not even any carting. I think it's so interesting that different dogs can add such different things to teams. Very cool.
I think it's so funny how people like different "styles" that they like in their dogs.
Not to completely derail this thread, but would you say that the demeanor between a dog like Mason and a dog bred for companionship is vastly different? |

| Not at all! Karen breeds a WONDERFUL temperament into her dogs, I just added some additional pics to his 'scrapbook' on this site- When he is in harness he is ALL BUSINESS, he's very intense. But when he's in the yard or in the house, he is a complete chill dog. I would custom order a whole team of Mason's if I could! (I'd have to separate my racing and showing kennel at that point though) However, this personality and temperament is not always the case with racing kennels it's a bit more common than people might expect.

| That is so cool to hear! I got Pippa from a shelter and while she's still a puppy, her energy is constantly through the roof. I can run miles with her and take her to to the dog park and there a days where she is still bouncing off the walls.
While I might rescue again, I definitely see the perks to getting one from a breeder that aims for a certain temperament. |

| I have rescued and I have purchased. Both decisions I don't regret My rescues are unfortunately not able to be more than just companions, they miss out on the active lifestyle my others enjoy. My only 'regret' in my purchases would probably be more on me than anything else. I wish I had researched more in pedigrees prior to moving in any direction. Actually having a direction would have been nice too, I went from wanting to show dogs, vs now wanting to dual purpose work/show. But no matter what my decisions have been I don't regret the decisions I have made because I have some amazing dogs. |
