Awesome. I'll go on search for the soup bones this weekend! Can't wait to find them and try them out.
Oh, and Kody just ate his chicken quarter in like 5minutes. Geez!

You can sometimes find marrow bones at Publix. If they are nice, they can even get some uncut ones and cut them to the size you want. I've found the ones ment for soup are usually cut too short, but for some reason lately at the Publix I go to they've been a great size. Don't know why they started cutting them a bit bigger, but my dogs like it!

Thanks Sara. Are they out or do you have to ask the butcher?

They are usually out if they have them.

I see soup bones out in the meat case all the time at our local supermarkets. I've never had to ask for them.

We are lucky to have a lot of local farmers that raise all sorts of animals. I usually get goat from someone local, but these pieces were from a place called hare today. I buy a lot of my meat from there, since Luka can't have anything you would find at the grocery store.

Ginger's turkey drumstick and THK dinner. The first time I tried turkey, I think it was a bit much. This time around, I started with 2 oz of a turkey wing - basically, Storm and Ginger halved a turkey wing - and she did OK. She's now up to 4 oz of chicken or turkey for her dinner.

Ginger hasn't had raw since last Saturday because of her intermittent diarreha. As of Monday at 1am, today was the first full day she has had all normal BMs. I'll start her up on her raw chicken again next week if she has normal BMs through the weekend.

Yummy! Nice to see some raw feeding pics of Storm!
Dakota's dinner last night consisted of: 1/4 lb of THK Force 3/4 lb of Turkey neck, heart, liver and gizzard
Ughh, so disgusting I almost hurled while preparing his dinner. Hubby ended up having to feed him while I snapped a couple quick pics. Ewww!

Good for you Val! I don't know if I could do that!
Yes, Storm get all raw for dinner now, and he's doing extremely well! He's a natural! I have also started him on Verve with the last bit of his WC GF RF kibble. According to my calculations for a 90 lb dog, he can have up to 1.8 lbs of food, so I'm rounding it down to make it easy at 1.5 lbs of food. 1/2 C THK rehydrated is about 6.5 oz and the volume of that is a lot which will help him feel satisfied. I gave him 5 oz of raw chicken last night so I know I can give him 8 oz of chicken at dinner, and he should still lose weight.
I'm excited to get Storm on THK and raw...and he's also digging the Vital Essentials beef niblets that I use for training.

That's great and I'm glad he's not nearly as sensitive as Ginger!
I don't think I can do organ very often, this was my first time and it was sooooo digusting I really don't see myself doing it hardly at all. I might be able to suck it up a few times a year possibly but that's it! *shudders* Props to those that can feed true PMR and have the stomach to prepare it...I don't!

Nope, Storm seems to have a hardy tummy as far as I can tell - Whew!
And I'm with you - I might be able to feed chicken or beef liver once in a while....

WOW! I'm speechless at how comfortable the hubby is with feeding them raw! He even comments on the crunching! I think I'm more proud of the hubby than the dogs right now. LOL
G&S look like pro's at the raw diet, like they've been doing it all their life! Loved the vid!

Storm has taken to raw like he's been eating it for awhile! I gave him a couple of drummettes and/or wings, and within a week, he is up to 5-6 oz at dinner...no searing necessary to get started!
Hubby is totally OK with raw since Ginger has been getting her chicken at dinner, and he even asked, 'When are we starting Storm on raw?' when I was still trying to figure out kibble, and THK and portions and calories and....so hubby was excited to start Storm on raw!
He still trips out on their poop, though! LOL! I don't need two poop bags for Storm anymore! And I can pick it up with one hand! LOL!
