| Last time we were in New Belgium we saw a couple of dogs brought in like it was nothing. Turns out it IS nothing. Bring 'em in and have some brew. Growlers are a super duper deal. Limbaugh did great! Aside from his puppy yap at other dogs coming in he just flopped down on the floor like a rug. Sweet, now I can take the growlers for refills and take Supper-Pup too! You also get faster service with a Saint Bernard in tow. |

| Man, I was a big fan of New Belgium before, but that made their stock rise a little more in my opinion. That's awesome. _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. | The Pizza Joint in Augusta, GA serve the dogs their water before the humans. At least in my case they do. |

| I'm not sure exactly what places around here the dogs can go with, but now I'm kind of interested to find out. Also need to find out what the state regs are on dogs in establishments. So far there's the usual places:
Home Depot Sportsman's Warehouse Jax Gateway Garden (where we buy their food) Blue Moon Liquor (lady demanded I bring Ridik inside one day) New Belgium
That's it so far. I hope I don't turn into one of those crazy 'have-to-take-my-dog-everywhere' people. If restaurants weren't so extremely paranoid about one person claiming a dog allergy, I might try eating on a patio with a dog. Just don't see that happening out here though. |

| Definitely jealous, harrise, that you have a BEER joint that allows dogs! I could only find a few places in our area. CarbonsAGoodBoy & Meredith, FYI!!! http://www.dogfriendly.com/server/travel/uscities/guides/us/cities/usonlinecityFLDestin.shtml This is a dog-friendly city guide, so some of you might be able to find locations near you! |

| We actually have a couple places around here that are dog friendly. There is an awesome restaurant in Milton (about the only decent place to eat without going down to Pensacola) that is dog friendly. You have to sit on the patio outside, but as long as you don't go in the summertime it's nice.
I need to scout out a few more places as well, I always enjoy being able to take Ghost out with me and its great for her socialization. _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. | Pretty much any place around here that has outdoor seating allows dogs. There's a sports bar around the corner we go to all the time with all the Huskies.
Home Depot and Lowes lets us in but that's about it down here. _________________ Force Free Training ThreadCheyenne, Mishka, Mickey, Rodeo, & Odin Are you a Husky owner in South Florida?! Join our facebook meetup group! |

| Eddie - I can't even show Hubby those pics because we'll be on a roadtrip out there later today. That looks awesome! I loooooooooove Dog Friendly places! When Frosti was in the midst of her separation anxiety/not crate trained yet it was the only thing that saved my sanity! BTW - I think it's up to each Home Depot because I've been refused entrance with Chili at one of them. It was fine at another one and the staff all wanted to pet him! The local hardware store doesn't allow dogs but we spent so much time there while renovating that the security guy saw me outside with him and said "That's a nice SERVICE dog you got there!" <wink wink> and ushered me inside! Each area of town has their own rules. There's a quaint little area that has a ton of outdoor cafes but makes you tie the dogs up outside the "barrier" to the outdoor area and they can't sit with you. Meh. And then there's awesome places that encourage dogs - like the place that serves waffles and "woofles"! Oh, and bottomless margaritas, bloody marys and mimosas for $12.50! |

| Dogs (and other pets) are banned from all Home Depots in Canada since last year. I think it's because a staff member got bitten badly by a customer's dog.
It's great to hear of so many dog-friendly places. |

| Home Depot, huh? Since I've been living there with the basement construction, I should try taking the pup!
I often see those little yappers in ladies' purses getting toted all around Wal-mart or Target and other places like that. I just figured that those same places that would overlook a 5 pound dog might frown on my big, hairy 50 pounder!

| Lisa, I've dared hubby to walk into a store that allows small dogs holding Frosti. Nordstrom stores allow dogs - Chili went with me a few weeks ago and was super well behaved. There were numerous other big dogs - and tiny yappers! Guess which ones were well behaved? |

| I'm with Kristina. Any place that has an outdoor patio pretty much allows dogs. You can go to any of the little outdoor restaurants on Southbeach with your dogs or anywhere on Lincoln road. We have our favorite Cuban restaurant 3min from the house that allows dogs outside also. Awesome for breakfast! Some cuban toast with cafe con leche (warm milk with cuban coffee) yummm!!! |

| You all do know we have a 4 pound yapper, right? My yappy dog doesn't yap and my sled dogs don't bolt out the door. There's a correlation in there somewhere.
I think the Home Depots are on a store by store basis and the corporate folks have a no dog policy as some sort of liability thing.
Wish the rules weren't zero tolerance on trails in National Parks. At least they could open up some obscure trails that are hard to get to. |

| I've seen pics of Tambi hiking in places that I do not even want to go! Tambi is a unique little yapper. I'll bet she was never carried around in a toille purse! It's just that around here many establishments ignore the tiny, diamond-sporting dogs. Hey... A dog is a dog... (and it's obvious Eddie comprehends that well!)
So... no offense to Tambi... (Eddie, you should re-post that picture of her on some summit in a rock bed where the rocks were bigger than her - at least that's the way I remember the pic) |

Sorry, but indeed I do carry her around in my purse. She fits so why not? "Yappers" are only yappers if people let them be. Reality is, they are just tiny dogs that fit in a purse. I take her everywhere. I take her in the grocery store when it is too hot to leave her in the car. I take her to work and then carry her into the retail establishments in the complex on my breaks. I have even taken her into restaurants when I didn't plan on going to eat and no one ever noticed she was there. Dogs are dogs regardless of size, some of them are just easier to hide . |

| I always wondered about dog friendly places. Like here in my area, Didnt find much from that site . Idk i brought my lil dog Hailey into the local grochry store in town. My mom brought Josie in a few times but she works there so yea. But i Seen ppl bring there dogs into Harley Davidson dealership in Chippewa Falls, And seen one in Zachos (another power sports place). Also seen a few in WalMart even a black lab once. Always wanted to try and bring my 2 in places. Mostly just Josie she loves getting attention from people. Hailey on the other hand aint a big fan of crowds of ppl, makes me carry her if so. When i was out in Cali staying with one my buddys, We walked into many powersport places and even liquir stores with his pitbull many times even without a leash and never got told the dog couldnt be in there with us or anything. Ever sence then i always wanted to try it myself. Maybe someday ill just go for it worst thatll happen is say she cant come in. :/ |

| i know some places down town with patios let dogs out side, we have gotten food to go and sat outside the place with the pups and ate, would be nicer if they could go inside, maybe we will come join you Eddy and Lindsay and try some beer, see what they say with a gang of dogs? _________________ |
