Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Crate Size/Crate Training Empty
PostSubject: Crate Size/Crate Training   Crate Size/Crate Training EmptySun Feb 16, 2014 6:11 pm

Hi, first time poster on here. I am adopting my first siberian husky at the end of march and I definitely want to crate train it. I am writing to get some suggestions/advice on the size of the crate. I have looked at some sites that suggest getting the biggest crate you can for your husky, which I suppose would be 48"?
I am adopting the biggest pup which also happens to be a male in the litter. The dad is a pretty big 70lb siberian husky. I anticipate he'll follow in his dad's pawprints, as he is the spitting image of him. So ultimately, what size should I look at getting, and does the crate size play a role in crate training? If I just go with a 42" crate now will that be good through adulthood?

Thanks!

Hi! Here we got the biggest 54" for our Doppler we got from petstreetmall, it comes with dividing panel so we can adjust the space enough for him for he tried to mess the extra space on his first few days sleeping in there.
He actually doesn't like or sleep on it at first so we feed him there and put his favorite toys/treats. You may want to check their site for crate size tool and dog crating tips/articles: petstreetmall.com/dog-crates/
I suggest you get the 48 since you can easily adjust the size.
