| I have both, and I actually love them both. I use the Xback specifically for pulling and the urban harness can't really be used for that, but I use it for hiking and biking (because I have the springer). I say figure out what you want to use it for and that will make your decision on which one will work best for you. |

| If you are biking out front then the xback will work, but for everything else definitely get the xback first, it will be better for the winter. My neice and nephew get pulled on a sled as well, and the xback has worked great for it because it allows them to pull from their chest and distributes the weight better than the urban harness does. |

| Yep, I agree. I have the Alpine X-Back Harness and I use it for biking. Juneau loves to pull! It will take about 4 weeks to get to you if you order the custom x-back. |

| I think I've asked about this before...but which would work better with the walky-dog? I feel like I remember someone saying they wouldn't recommend the urban trail harness with a walky-dog, but I don't remember why. It would mean the dog runs further ahead, but I don't see why that would really be a problem. |

| It depends on who you ask, really. I honestly think the urban trail is better for the dog because it has a clip that attaches to the side of the harness. But the weight isn't pulled equally from there. I use the x back because she will be pulling from her chest and not the side. I also bought an extra bungee that's about eighteen inches long. It makes a huge difference. If I had to do it all over again, I'd still get the xback.
Sorry for the big paragraph, I'm on my phone lol |
