We try every little bit to step in and pet and praise. Keno also needs some rest so stepping in helps his bummed leg rest a little. No treats as Keno has shown some desire to resource guard and is such a slow eater assuming he knows it's something he can eat. Baby steps. I am really hoping that having him around will help her accept other dogs when we are out and about a little better but I'm not going to hold my breath on it. I really hope that meeting strange dogs on leash doesn't set her back with him off leash.

Derp...
Keeping an eye on Spooky Dog who's in the front yard.
How she used to spend the day before we had to move Keno's kennel and cut off her access to the window.
This was taken only a few days after we started letting them hang out in the house together. We have not had any food issues with either of them though Keno is a bit of a glutton and if she doesn't go to her food immediately he will try to clean her bowl out before starting on his own. She now eats on time.
Squish
Hubby took his supper into the man-cave and shut the door. Kenzi was heartbroken.
There's a lot of trash talking that goes on when Kenzi and Keno play, mostly from her. As I was videoing her mouthing she decided words weren't enough and rolled over on his head.
Kenzi has an adverse reaction to Radioactive by Imagine Dragons. When Keno wasn't around she wouldn't get distracted and would sing the whole song through. She still hits the main points and always ends with a bang. Hear her sing the song of her people.

They are too cute together. So glad things are going well with them!
They have bonded with each other so well, I'm so happy for you, you were pretty concerned. I adore the pic of Keno in his crate with Kenzi squishing in beside crate and chair(couch?), her new hiding spot.
It was a risk bringing him home with the track record she had but I'm glad we took it. It has been so worth it having him around and she loves him. For not being crate trained Kenzi sure likes tight spaces.
This is what every parent is really talking about when they refer to monsters under the bed.
I'm not sure what is going on here. She ate her whole lunch this way today. It's definitely a first. Proof that women can't make up their minds, maybe?
And this is a short video of what Kenzi does that led to my avatar picture. She kicks her feet and talks. Not sure why, it isn't to scratch her back, but she can go on and on when she's in the mood.
Next video of her must be during and after a bath. She cries and shakes and it is the funniest thing I have ever seen. I laughed so hard I cried when we gave her a bath the other night over the noises she makes.

Kenzi has been on a kibble strike for the last week and has been exploring new places with her new found time she has on her paws.
She's a kong hoarder. Keno just isn't picking up on how the kong works so she always gets to finish cleaning his out.
We've been getting a lot of rain here lately so now I have even more than just dog poop to look out for in the yard.
And just to brighten your monday. Rainbow after a hail storm.

Kenzi looks so comfy curled up in "her" chairs...
The mushrooms - we're getting them, too. Especially around the trees where the dogs are tethered when we are not home - do you worry about them eating the mushrooms?

More about Keno eating them than Kenzi. I haven't been able to identify species on the 'shrooms yet to know their level of toxicity. Keno is bad about seeing something and running up to it and grabbing it before he really knows what it is. We have two apple trees in the back yard and he's been foraging apples that fall off sometimes under them and I wouldn't put it past him to think they are apples at first then being in for a rude awakening.
Awesome pics Jenn, I love the pic of Kenzi and Keno. The rainbow pic is so nice, you have such a lush backyard. 'Shrooms, yea I'd be worried, not sure if all are toxic to dogs?
Some are toxic to even touch. I don't think these are like that but I won't chance it with them. After nearly 4 inches of rain in a couple days then a day of sun on the yard, lush is one way to put it. It grows faster than we can keep up with it. Amazing how it was almost dead a month ago, now it's practically a jungle again.

Love how she's all curled up on the different chairs. She is such a pretty girl.
It's our magic fungus. It shrivels up and then regrows about once ever couple months and has since the first spring rain. Always in that spot too. There is a different style toad stool that pops up when this particular one is dormant. It's more traditional flat top with the ribbed underbelly. If I could get Morel mushrooms to grow there then we would be in business.

Checking out the neighbor's animals that came up to the back fence the other day.
Does this angle make me look fat?

Wow, her coat is so beautiful, so thick and soft looking, the "fatty" pic is out standing, I adore flowers and huskies, and no she doesn't look fat, her winter coat is set, just makes her full looking.

She is soooooo pretty. I love the third pic. I kinda laughed at the second pic though, cuz I thought about that phrase "honey, do these make my butt look big?" and then...I saw it...if u look, at the base of her tail her fur parts, to the left and to the right...it actually does look like a butt, LOLOL
