| Alright, how many of you just read that and went "oh my God Meredith is pregnant?!"? Don't lie I promise, I'm not, but our family is going to be growing in the next 3-4 weeks. I started volunteering with Delaware Valley Siberian Husky Rescue recently, and in late February they rescued a young male and female who had been left tied up and abandoned in a backyard. 3 days after being rescued, the female gave birth to a litter of 8 puppies. We found out yesterday that we had been approved to adopt one of the little ones, and we will be bringing home our new baby girl after her 2nd round of shots, which is I think right before Memorial Day weekend. She'll be ~12 weeks old when we get her I named Ghost so Aaron has full naming rights, and I think he's waiting to meet her before settling on a name. She was apparently the 2nd born of the litter, and gave her foster mom a big scare. She apparently inhaled some fluid during birth and had to be resuscitated, so she's one hell of a little fighter. All of the rescue people say she's their favorite, and they say she's a spunky, fun little girl who will be able to keep up with Ghost. So, without further adieu, let me introduce Ghost's baby sister: Happy birthday, little ones: Happy mom: Newborn picture: 2 Weeks: 5 Weeks: 7 Weeks: 8 Weeks: Carload of trouble: Plotting something: _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. | Yes, car full of trouble was a good one! The marking around the eyes is really interesting, they all look like bandits. Happy puppy time, enjoy her. |

Mom and dad both appear to be full Husky, but honestly it doesn't matter. I'm not going to love her any less if she is a mix. We're about 99% sure she is pure though. - Huskyluv wrote:

We are going to try to make it up to the rescue picnic north of Philly on the 11th, but we're double scheduled that day with a birthday party down in DC later. We're going to try to squeeze both in, but it's going to be one hell of a long day. _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. | I wanted one of the reds, but they are both male and Aaron has a thing against males. Plus the one with the better mask was adopted before Aaron made up his mind if he was going to say yes or not. One of these years I'll have my red. _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword.
