It's not bad. There are some things I agree with and some things that I don't. It reminds me of a police dog
training method. Koda was trained to walk on a leash like that and it definitely worked. However, he had about 2 weeks when we first got him with someone other than us and that screwed up his
training royally.
I don't really agree with the DIRE need for a harness. I think collars/choke chains are okay in my book. We didn't start with one. We had a martingale collar (it's nylon and tightens a little when he pulls). When he basically wore through that, we got the chain and unless you place it in the good and proper position, it doesn't hurt him anymore than a regular collar.
The
training method definitely isn't BAD. I think it's a very good one to start at a young age. Leash
training is way easier when they're young so I think it's really just a matter of picking one that you like and sticking with it to the end.
