| when my 7 week husky pee's he will not go all at once, when i take him out in 5 minutres he will pee 6 times in 6 different places, sometimes for 10-15 seconds, other times for like 3. is this normal? how do i train him to let it all out at once? sometimes i worry its for the treat bcause he will pee for 3 second the stare at me waiting for it, then do it again a little later. He wil pee outside, then come in and a few minutes later pee on the floor too.
with the crate At bed time he is pretty good in there, hell cry a little, then normally fall asleep, but in the morning or during the day when i leave for work or ned to do something around the house and dont want him getting into trouble he cries for hours.
i take him out a few times during the night, but he always wakes me up at 530 whining and screaming, normally with pee in the cage. this is where im confused, i knbow your not supposed to let then out when they cry cause that will teach them bad habbits, should i wait till he stops? or take him straight outside, come in clean up his pee and put him back in?
the crate training is confusing me and i want to train him properly while he is still young, Please help! thank you! |

| This is not normal, at least in my short experience with my pup. Has he been to the vet yet? Maybe its a UTI? You should try giving him praise instead of treats when he goes potty outside. A high pitched "good boy!" might be enough, and that way you know he's not manipulating you for more treats. Its worth a shot! My pup is not food motivated so I've had to praise her when she pottys outside and it works.
How big is his crate? If its too big for him then he will have no problem peeing in the corner. It might be screaming because he's upset he soiled his sleeping area. Puppies dont like laying in their own urine or feces so the crate should be barely tall enough for him to stand up and long enough for him to lay down and stretch a little. If you think its too big then you can easily divide it with a milk crate or something like that to shorten the length.
Keep at it! Crate training now is going to be way easier. |

| You might want to get up earlier to take him out for a potty break at 4:30 or 5, then put him back to bed. He probably doesn't start crying until he absolutely must go... And by then he can't wait long enough for you to wake up and take him out. |
