| Ok, if the paws go up in the air while sleeping on his back I'm making popcorn. |

It will happen at some point today... We frequently find him sleeping 'upside down.' |

| Yep, looks like he's gonna either eat or re-hide his pig ear now. I left the window open, and its funny you can here all the street level noise. |

| Now him eating and playing with that pizzle? it is making him very happy and is very entertaining. I stepped away when he was digging in the crate and now he is having fun. I am so enjoying this! Yep the first truck that went by shocked me hah but I am used to it in the background! |

| When did you allow him to start having free roam of the alcove? We have started for very short times giving the dogs free roam of the house, but if I tried to keep them in a room with a baby gate, Siku would of already jumped it! |

| Well, he's only jumped the gate once, and I'm not sure he remembers it honestly, and he only wants out of the alcove if someone is home. Otherwise he pretty much just chills over there. I started letting him stay out in the alcove at about 6 months. He chews on the black rug every now and then, but nothing major. If he jumped the gate all hell would break loose though. He'd try to 'play' with the cats. |

| Yeah for Thanksgiving since I took Siku home, I brought two baby gates and was bragging about how much he respects them and how they will keep it out of the kitchen. About the second day there he learned that he could jump over those and it became the best game of all. Luckily he respects them at home for the most part, so maybe he would handle it like your littel angel Dizzy! Haha |

| Well, if and when he figures out he can jump the baby gates, I'll end up getting something a little taller like this:

| This is so amazing!!! He is so cute. I just want to cuddle him.
Jen and Erica, I have TWO of these gates: http://www.amazon.com/Carlson-0941PW-Extra-Tall-Walk-Thru-White/dp/B000JJFNJK/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1386174763&sr=8-5&keywords=extra+tall+gate
Stacked on top of each other because Gus can EASILY leap over just one. Once he learns it, he can't unlearn it haha. It's an obstacle course just to get through the hallway haha |

| That is really nice, the only issue with that one is that the alcove opening is about 7' across, so I have a jerry rigged extra wide plus baby gate kind of setup. |

| we use 2 of these fro our 6 foot opening but they are freestanding so we have not let Bourbon on his own with them except for 30 minute excursions. I do use them only in open bedrooms door with no problem all the time though. http://www.groupon.com/deals/gg-animal-planet-folding-wooden-pet-gate
Our neighbor got a 12" extensions and used this with there 6 foot opening. So I know there are setup out there! http://www.overstock.com/Baby/Regalo-Extra-Tall-Wide-Span-Safety-Gate/6388182/product.html?refccid=TOQPKHH4OLR3462LBLA3ROBCHU&searchidx=2 S |

He is so fluffy. He's like a little bear. And you can see his nose and paws twitching!
Run home and snuggle him!!! |

Run home and snuggle him!!! IT'S SO HARD NOT TO! I have to leave the office and run an errand now (I wish I could sneak home, but it's the opposite direction!) Kristina - its addicting, I can't stop watching him. |

| Jen. I had to copy you on my lunch break just to see how they did while I was gone cause I've never known. Its so sad! I just always assumed that they were quiet, apparently not. Poor Siku, Nikolai screams bloody murder to try to get out and just digs, and Siku has been standing up in his crate for 20 minutes with this crazy pant. At least Dizzy looks like he in enjoying himself, and isn't making a peep (from what I've seen) and looks crazy adorable. This was such a good idea, although I think I might do this MWF when they are home, so thank you for giving me another thing to NEVER get my work done. I would suggest anyone who can, to try it. I think you would be surprised that your pups aren't as quiet as you thought they were! Haha. Maggie: those are the gates I've actually been looking at. Thanks! |

| Erica, you could try Skype too! That is what we use for Gus. Not very shareable haha, but it saves my internet usage There's a setting that you can use to automatically pick up calls. When it's dialing, I am just holding my breath, waiting to hear "aaaaaaa-woooooooooooooooooooo". We had a little diary for the longest time. But he has gotten used to it now The gate i linked before is my bottom gate. The top gate (mounted above) is this one: http://www.amazon.ca/Summer-Infant-Secure-Extra-1-Pack/dp/B0000DEW91/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1386180806&sr=8-6&keywords=summer+infant+baby+gates It's a little easier to open... maybe a little TOO easy though because he figured out how to open it!!! And just jumped through that opening, over the bottom gate! We had to reconfigure it so he couldn't reach the handle. Didn't stop him from trying anyways though haha. MAN was he ever frustrated after that! |
