| It went something like this: Puppy & owner pass a cute 5ish year old boy and his father in a Rural King store. As the child/father round a corner, the boy says, “Daddy, what was that?!/” Father, “That was a dog.” Boy, “No, Daddy, I know what a dog looks like and that was NOT a dog, that was some kind of wolf or something.” Father: “No, it was a Siberian Husky.” Child: “No, Daddy, that man has some sort of coyote in the store!” So, owner meets the father/son in the next isle and asked the boy if he wants to pet the pup…says she is a husky, and she likes little boys, would he like to pet her? Boy: “No way! I’m not going to touch that wolf!” As short time later, while a woman was admiring puppy (as many of you have found, your husky attracts a lot of attention!) and fluffing up her head, she accidentally slips off the pup’s collar, and puppy BOLTS. Owner screams, “Please hold the doors shut or she’ll be gone!” Puppy flies back to the back of the store, as owner never ran so fast in his life….finds puppy frantically looking for a snack in the pet food isle~lucky for all, she had ran past the baby chicks and ducklings, and did not find her snack there! Further lucky, the owner had a cheese stick in his pocket and puppy then gave a good recall back to his safe arms. Mommy will now accompany Daddy and puppy on future such visits to Rural King. |

| Damn! At least your pup has good recall, if mine get loose i have to drive around with a car door open, nothing attracts them back they just dont seem to care, Jasper more so then Bella but still, when they get out together Bella just follows Jasper in his adventures but shes the first to jump in the back of the truck. Glad she didnt get out and shes safe.

| O my what a story!! At least no baby chicks were hurt in the adventure. And it seems to me that said puppy knows exactly where the treats are in the store... |

| I've had similar experiences! Never a good thing. I once had a kid come up behind me and rip the leash out of my hand telling me he wanted to walk the "wolf" (I didn't know this kid and had no idea he was approaching me). Murphy immediately sensed weakness and took off. The kid was pulled over and skinned a knee, started screaming and his mom yelled at ME. Luckily Murphy stayed close and I had treats so i could get her back! |

That's right, no baby chicks were hurt in the making of this story. Which is a good thing. What a story though! I'm sure that it was pretty scary then, but now it's kind of just hilarious. |

| I'm glad she only went for non moving snacks and didn't manage a full on escape!
Some kid nearly died outside school when he rounded the gate and saw Sky.. he inched by muttering about the little wolf, when I asked if he wanted to stroke her he replied you can't stroke wolves cos they'll kill you lol
