| Hiya folks! Been raining like crazy out here in the southeast region of Texas... Lots of flooding. Depressing. Juneau doesn't like the rain lol. Anyways, I figured I would share some photos of my vacation in Alberta last spring. My bf and I went dog-sledding! 4 hours worth! Let me tell ya - it was a blast! I would do it again in a heartbeat. They have a really cool camping trip one too. It is like a 2-3 day sled journey. I think the trip that we did was about 10 miles. We had a 1 hr break in between. It is definitely a pretty penny, but totally worth it. I figured the best place to share pictures was with you guys. This was before I owned Juneau. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X-bBpKQ6Itc Video. I dunno how to embed yet. :l Right before take off! 178 dogs in this photo. Goofin' around lol. They have the older dogs in front to steer. Ha was left, Ge(?) was right. Going across the "Goad Pond". Entering the woods. Lunch break and the pups resting! Straight line! haha. One of the dogs - Bert - kept going under/over the line to his partner. Our guide had to keep fixing him lol. Pretty view. OH, the dogs had GAS!! Ahh! Nothing like going through the pretty forest, sniffing husky farts! We also had to stop the sled if they were kneeling to poop (obviously) lol. They kinda started pooping while running. It was about 35 degrees that day... Bushy tails. They didn't want their picture taken. lol Bert. Fixing the husky again lol. Up a hill. At this point, we step off the sled and help push. I am 115 and our instructor was 225... lol. The sled had a slight tip. That water was pretty. My bf and I! Making him ride bitch. muahaha lol. At last but not least, this was my favorite picture of all. Hope you enjoyed! |

You're welcome. - jbealer wrote:

You totally should! We got to switch back and forth. The guide and I would ride at the same time, while my bf would sit in the sled. Then they would drive while I sat inside. Towards the end, my bf and I got to steer by ourselves for about 20 mins lol. - SaraB wrote:

Do it! You will NEVER forget it! It's so different from anything else. - norbreedslove wrote:

Yeah!!! You should have HEARD these dogs! OMG! At the beginning (first pic), ALL of the dogs were barking like mad! They were so anxious to start LOL. I was first to steer, and I almost fell off when they jolted off! These pups love to work! |
