| Well after adopting Sierra and having her for a month we realized she needed a friend and since we would be leaving for 10 days for our wedding and honeymoon we thought it would be a good idea to find her someone before then so she did not think she was being “dumped” again, when they went to the dog sitter. We are big fans of adopting and went straight to the Polaris Siberian husky rescue in Fort Collins to find her a friend, we meet a ton of great huskies that liked us but see seemed to only care for one of them, this super skinny shedding like crazy dark brown and white husky later named Jack. We were hoping to find someone closer to her age as we were guessing Jack was just about a year old and very playful but would also just lay down and chill with his font legs crossed (so cute). We picked him up on March 21 2009, my husband and Jack bonded instantly which was good since Sierra was my girl. The 2 of them get along great and Jack has brought out the playfulness in Sierra since day 1. They do play rough and sometimes it is scary but they each know each others limits. Now if only Jack did not think we were Huskies as well as he likes to try and eat our hands and arms while petting him! We love both our dogs and our family is complete now. Oh he does have a pulling while being walked habit and if you have any suggestions on fixing it let me know, Thanks.

| Jack is so striking! I'm so happy to hear your story about him. As soon as we get a better place we're getting Koda a girlfriend! Start a thread in the "Training" forum and I'm sure you'll get lots of responses regarding his pulling habits |

| I can tell! Your boy is very handsome, I really did not want the black and white and we lucked out with getting them both brown/red white; jack has the blue eyes where Sierra is bi eyed in one and brown in the other. i joke that we are just a brown hair blue eye family! |

| Well it seems Jack has made the guest bed his own after we go to bed! we have kept the door opened but blocked all summer but with my mom in town last weekend using the room we never blocked it back up and they have not caused any problems in there so we have left it open. Well the other day I woke up and was like where Jack? He was in the other room sleeping on our couch turned bed! Then today I got up to pee in the middle of the night and again Jack was gone! Yep in the other room on the bed. I guess he did not want to share our bed with us any more he used to sleep at the end of the bed between the two of us but now feels he deserves his own bed! He is such a silly boy! |
