| Subject: Red/brown spot in the corners of Husky's eyes? Sun Aug 25, 2013 5:37 am | |
| My girl is almost 7 months old. She has very light blue eyes. On the white, outer corners of her eyes, in both eyes, she has a red/brown spot. She's had them as long as she's been with me, that I've noticed. When she was much younger, it was mostly red. I thought it might be a little irritation, but not conjunctivitis because there was no discharge or swelling or anything like that. Now, it seems that sometimes they're redder, other times more brown and sometimes the spots seem smaller, other times it appears as if they span almost the entire visible outer corner of her eye. That may be a trick on my vision, but it would appear that the color and size changes. She doesn't seem to have trouble seeing, there's no cloudiness in her eyes that I can see, no eye discharge, nothing particularly icky or alarming going on with her eyes, outwardly. I'm just wondering if this is a possible warning sign for eye issues or if it's just blood vessels or coloring or something. I intend on having her eyes vet checked within the next couple of months at a check up, I've just been curious about this for a while and no search seems to come up with anything like it or anything that satisfies my curiosity. It's difficult to photograph, but i managed to catch this tonight when I got her to look to the side. You can kind of see the spot... This is her left eye. |
