Help! I need advice!! Empty

Stressing hard core. I am a teacher, and our school year does not end until June 21st. (Students stop coming to school on the 14th if they don't have regents) Here is where I am stressing. I have an amazing breeder, who is very loving and caring. She bred mid February so that I could have a puppy in June. Here is the problem, the puppies will be ready to go home at 8 weeks around May 28th, and I will not be done with work till the 21st of June. I am so stressed. I would take a few days off (only allowed to take 2 days off in a row) to stay with the pup, but what would I do after? Isn't 8 weeks old too young to leave in a crate when they are just getting used to the new environment? Ahhh, so stressed. My best friend's mom, who lives 45 seconds down the road said she would watch her during the day, but I am so scared that she will bond with her, and that will be her person. That she would prefer her over me. Help, what do I do? I know I could wait a couple weeks and have the breeder hold it but I don't want to miss out on the younger stages.

I would be asking the breeder to hold onto your pup until you get out of school and perhaps you can take her on the weekends to slowly introduce her to you and your house. It would probably be less of an adjustment for her than to be at the breeders, at your house, then at your friend's mom's house for part of the day and be shuffled back and forth. At least the breeder's house is a place that she's comfortable with and you could take her on the weekends.

An 8 week old puppy will need to go out at least every 2 hours to eliminate, so yes... she will not be able to stay in a crate 8 hours a day.

Your other option would be to crate her and have your friend's mom come to your house every couple of hours to let her out during the day.
