| Hello, friends! My names Zach, a new member to the Husky family. Our husky adopted us in december from one of the more reputable breeders in IL, his name, as you could probably guess, is Ryka. He is a beautiful example of the husky we longed for. (Minus the blue eyes, he grew out of em.) We have had a pretty bad experience with our "son" as we call him. Since we brought him home from that breeder, he has never maintained hard stool. So three trips to the vet, 700 dollars later, he was diagnosed with Parvo. The worst disease I could imagine for a dog. His little illness set us back quite a bit. Luckily we had one of those pet health insurance companies. They actually helped ALOT. But, alas, I'm not here to talk about them. Anyways, here are a few pictures of our fighter. He is a happy, healthy, humpy husky! These photo's show him from the day we brought him home, to his current size.I hope you all enjoy the photos. |

| Seriously adorable! I love the paw on the lens photo.
If Ryka came from the breeder with Parvo, I hope that breeder had some serious splainin' to do. |

If Ryka came from the breeder with Parvo, I hope that breeder had some serious splainin' to do. That is so far, my favorite picture of him. It was perfect timing. He was charging at the lens while I was focusing on him. Unfortunately, my lens didn't fair quite so well. Small price to pay for such an adorable photo. The breeder stopped returning phone calls, emails, etc...etc.. I have all the documentation from purchase. He had a "health" guarantee. Which would allow the breeder to take him back, and refund our purchase. However, I can't view my living, breathing husky, as a "purchase" or "refundable" item. Besides, it's only money. I imagine I will make more of it someday. |

| He's gorgeous. I'm so glad to hear he pulled through from Parvo.
What breeder was he from if you don't mind me asking? |

What breeder was he from if you don't mind me asking? Thank you!!! I don't like to flame breeders, because I understand that it is a puppy. It may have un noticed health conditions while in the breeders care. However, her lack of response was infuriating. The Breeder is Chalice, with Mush Puppies. I have nothing but good things to say about the living conditions of the pups. She keeps them in her home til they find their new homes. She was constantly in touch with me up till the purchase date. I even recieved pictured of him weekly. Met Rykas parents, he came with a stack of papers a foot high! Micro-chipped, puppy shots, everything. I just wish she had replied to attempted contacts. In all honesty, if she had replied I wouldn't hesitate to use her again as our breeder. The vet agrees, parvo is not something that can be 100 percent prevented in such a young pup. So there aren't too many hard feelings. |
