Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.
I think I could post a picture of her everyday and it would take several years to get through them all. I'll start with a picture of when she was a puppy. <3
She is so adorable. She reminds me so much of my first husky, Tasha. I'm going to post a pic to compare, but if you want me to take down, since its her Shaqua's scrapbook, please let me know and i'll be happy to remove it.
It looks like Tasha doesn't have the stripes that go down her nose, but very close!!
I just took some pictures of Shaqua today as we were enjoying some beautiful weather. After I brush her out (as much complaining as she does during) she is always happy and bouncy afterwards. Somedays I just get the perfect timing on shots.
Shaqua sticking out her tongue at me.
Catching her marrow treat.
The "crazy running" eye she gets when she's having fun just running around.

Thank you. I'm a little obsessed with her myself. I'm starting to feel like that crazy dog lady.....but then again I have to listen to all my friends talk about their kids everyday, this is no different, right? How old is your Pippa?

Haha I feel the same way! I know I'm that crazy dog lady. I try to embrace it! I'd much rather hear about dogs than kids haha. At least from most people.
Pippa's a little over a year we think. I got her from the humane society, so I'm not sure, but somewhere around there. How old is Shaqua? She seems like she has such a great personality!
Shaqua will be 11 years old on June 14th. No one ever believes me when I say that, and honestly if she hadn't been with me all 11 of those years I wouldn't believe it either. She's the best. <3
One of her quirks of personality: Around Christmas time I went home to visit my family in Missouri. I was in the shower and getting ready for the day and she was in the bedroom. My candy was in a box, still wrapped, on the floor. Normally she doesn't bother those sorts of things unless I leave her alone with it for an extended period of time....now that I think about it, every time I'm in the shower.
Anyways, she found my bag of "melt-away-mints" and tore into them. About a handful was missing when I got back to the room. At first I was worried she would get sick from eating them, then I looked around the room. She hadn't eaten much, if any. There were little piles stowed away throughout the room. A pile in this corner, a pile behind the tv, a pile in that corner, a small pile behind the christmas tree....... I couldn't be mad at her because all I could do was laugh!!!
So I'm pet sitting for someone this weekend. Shaqua wants to play so bad. She's twice as old as this dog but he acts like he's too old to play. So cute! Another reason why I really want (need?) another husky puppy.
