6 month still having accidents Empty

Help, my 6 month old boy-Kodabear is still having once a week accidents. The problem is outside he squats and inside he just walks and pees.
A little background:
We have crate trained him and he does very well. He last from 11:00 p.m. until 5:00-6:00 a.m.
I am in the process of leaving him in his crate, while I am gone up to two and half hours and he has not peed at all in his crate since he was 11 weeks old.
He does not ask to go out side we just take him out a half hour after any water intake, which is scheduled, and every hour and a half during waking hours.
What I do not understand is he squats outside but walks and just releases inside.
Is it normal for him to be having an accident once a week at this age?

Normal no, common yes.

A lot of people deal with once a week issues for a long time and regression is normal.

If you are having trouble with it I would begin by watching him like a hawk, or umbilicaling. Either way make going outside fun and rewarding as much as possible.

I agree with Kelly on this one. Make sure you keep an extra careful eye on him. Sometimes their cues could be just looking over at the door - it took a while for us to learn Stark's cue, but once we got it, it's been pretty good since!

Best of luck to you!

I agree too. Our GSP is the most unemotional dog ever, so it took my ahwile before I picked up on his "I got to potty" cues.
