2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Husky Looking Boney Empty
PostSubject: Husky Looking Boney   Husky Looking Boney EmptyTue Mar 26, 2013 12:59 pm

Question for my Husky lovers...... Our baby is about 1.5 years old. He shot up to 65lbs by the time he was a year old. The last time we took him to the vet, he weighed 62lbs. I know that's not a lot, but lately he seems like he doesn't want to eat much. We have him on Blue Buffalo Grain Free, wild game - which he has been on since 6mo when he was rescued by a shelter. His hind quarters cave in when he is laying down and I can feel his spine when I pet him. I know that he is shedding his winter coat but he looks really thin.

Are there any suggestions to beef up his appetite? He is playful and loves to run so I would think he would continue to eat as normal to keep up his strength. He was diagnosed with epilepsy about 3 weeks ago and has had 2 significant seizures since then. Does anyone know if it could be food related, or another brand to try?

if he is eating for the most part and is really only down 3lbs i would not worry to much, huskies tend to look super skinny till about 2+yrs old when they start to fill out. not sure how food affects epilepsy if it does at all, you are feeding a good food but if you want to switch up the flavors for him maybe try that.
