If you end up getting two, as long as they are both healthy, it should be okay. Although, until they have fully bonded to you, they will need to be kept separate (like the older posts say in this topic).

Do you think it would be better if i just get one dog and then get my second dog few months later after my the first dog has bonded with me? Or will that make things worst when it comes to the: heavily trafficked by other dogs thing?(i hope you understand what i meant)

I think you should wait until you have the first puppy fully trained before getting a second. That seems to work out best for most on here.

As to the high traffic question, when you do get the second pup, you would need to minimize your older dog going places as well because they could bring parvo back to your puppy.

Okay i understand thanks everyone for the tips. It has helped out a lot; i made my decision.I'm just going to get one puppy and get the second one once my other is at least a year old; cause by then ill have more knowledge about the breed and what to do and what not to do during training. If i can fine a puppy or one close to the my first dog in age at a rescue I'll just get that one so i can at least help dog in needed of a loving and caring home.

I was in the EXACT same boat as you when I was looking for a dog. Once I got Stark and found out what puppyhood was like, I was so happy that I didn't spring for two. When he was about 8 months or so, I started looking for a second and almost jumped the gun. It took me having to really criticize where Stark was in his training and I realized I wasn't 150% confident that he wouldn't pass on any bad habits to the new pup. So, now I'm looking at getting a pup when he's probably closer to two. That way he'll be a great big brother and pretty much out of his teenager phase where he needs to be at the dog park for a minimum of 2.5 hours every day. This is just my story, it could have worked out very differently.

So, all in all, here are the variables:

1) You can end up with two of the most docile husky pups that won't drive you crazy, or you could end up with two of the huskiest huskies this world has to offer.
2) When your dog is about 6-7 months (when you want to get a second), he may or may not be at a point where you're 150% - there's nothing that you can really use to predict this. You'll need to evaluate it when you get to that point.

My point (after ALL this) is this: In my experience, I'm glad I didn't end up with litter mates. I know there are some people on here who have gotten litter mates and hopefully they'll be able to chime in at some point. If you're moving into a new place, my suggestion would be to only go for one right now. If you really want another one and are comfortable with bringing a new pup within 6 months, then I think that'll be a much smoother route to go. And trust me, six months may seem like a long while away from now, but once that puppy's home, you'll be absolutely amazed at how quickly time actually passes by.
