Transition of new food Empty
PostSubject: Transition of new food   Transition of new food EmptySat Mar 16, 2013 8:53 pm

Hello everyone, I recently starting switching Selena over to Wellness Core puppy from BBW puppy...It's been about a week and a half now and I have been at the 75% BB 25% Wellness this entire time because she is having REALLY loose stools. And when I say loose I mean, pudding! The last time I switched her (from Nutro to BBW) she never had pudding poops! So I'm concerned it could be the food? But the Wellness is also grain free so it can't be that so I'm not sure. I don't think I should increase more of the Wellness yet? Not sure what to do, any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Go back to all BBW Puppy and see if she firms up. If she does, then it's something in Wellness that is not agreeing with her. Looking at the ingredients, they seem to be comparable, but maybe something in a larger quantity is not agreeing with her?

Go back to all BBW Puppy until she firms up and wait for a few days before trying again. If she goes soft again, I would try something else.

Thank you for the advice Claudia! I did switch her back to all BBW as of Sunday, her stools still aren't great...they aren't pudding but they aren't firm either....AND...she woke me up at 4 this morning to vomiting in my bed 3x Crying or Very sad I'm honestly wondering if it is the BB that isn't agreeing with her now? With all the complaints going around, vomiting is the number one symptom so now I am really freaked out and don't know if she should be on this either!!! Gah, I don't know what to do anymore....think it's time to call the Vet!

If she hasn't really gotten better, and is also not vomitting, I'd put her on a bland diet (hard boiled eggs which is a neutral protein, a one source of veggie) and also take her to the vet in case there is something else.
