| I'm happy to report that Link started jumping today! Out for his walk this morning he got his Husky springy legs under him finally and started bouncing all around like Tigger.
He actually jumped up into a flower bed, smelled around, and jumped out again. It was probably, oh, 2.5 feet high over the top.
My buddy is growing up fast! |

| Check this out. Bodhi at a year and eight months. This is what you have to look forward to. His head is almost six feet high. |

| I did say somewhere......he comes from Kalara Siberians in Dayton, OR. His parents were both show dogs.
He was by far the lightest grey of his litter and he has that sandy beige color on how head which is really darkening and becoming bold. The black streak on his back is lightening.
He is pretty beautiful. Such dark brown eyes they mostly look black. |

| Link's musculature is really developing and he's getting taller and longer this week. The sandy beige on his head is now migrating down his back a bit. It's so cool how much his coloration is changing.
Anyone know when it sets in for good?
Oh yeah, you can see the black mark on his tail. Rhia told me that is a vestigial gland that has derived from wolves and it now unused in dogs but that Huskies still show them clearly sometimes.
Any elaboration on this? |

| He is really, really gorgeous. Love that fluffy puppy coat.
To my knowledge, their coats can change throughout their lives, although not as drastically as it does when they're puppies. Pippa is a little over a year and her coat has changed quite a bit in the last few months. |

| It's as if every 3 days he's got on a different outfit! His nose is even changing. Looks like some snow nose coming in.....that'd be nice to see. |

| I think so? But Pippa's actually gotten a little darker along her back.
I love a little snow nose! Over half of Pippa's is pink right now. I just hope it'll turn back this summer. |

| Really terrible pictures, but they show the progression pretty well. This was about two months after I got her. She'd lightened all over a good bit from August, especially around her face. She's in motion, as always, but you can see her back pretty well. This is her back just now. Her sides have lightened significantly, but the streak along her back and tail has gotten darker. And then just one cause she's cute. Hope that showed...something. It's hard to show in pictures! (I'll take these down later, if you'd like. It is Link's scrapbook! haha) |

| Ha, no worries. Pippa can hang out, Link likes guests. And yes, she's a cutie. Love her face |

| Link got his DLPP #2 today, and first of all, phew! But we had to skip puppy class cause he was such a sleepy Husky puppy post-vaccine oh well, I got a great nap out of it too. He is at 19 lbs now and got an overall clean bill of health. One glitch: one of his testicles hasn't dropped yet, which is apparently not too big of a deal necessarily it just might make his 6 month snipping a hybrid spay/neutering. Atta boy though, queering things up! |

| We go in the first week of April to get his last shot, I can not wait for it to be over so we can start venturing out more! I wonder how common it is for the testicles not to drop, Nanooks last appointment one of his had not dropped as well. |

| Are you on round 3 already??
It is fairly common our vet says. She said they usually drop by 6 months but sometimes don't and there's no harm done, it just makes the surgery a bit more involved than a neutering. |
