Forum Rules | 1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule. |

| Hi everyone! I would like to take a minute to welcome THREE new staff members to our ranks It's no secret that we've been growing by leaps and bounds, which is as exciting as it is incredible! Now that we are the size that we are, the staff feels it's time to try switching over to a different model of forum moderation that we have seen successful on many bigger forums than ours. Myself, Chris, and the illustrious Chad (...YouKnowWho) will still be the Administrators as you see in red. Val, Jenn, Meredith, and Kristina will still be in blue and act as Global Moderators (a term that has been used in action that we are now labeling). They will help the Administrators keep an eye on the whole board. However, please welcome three new Subject Moderators: Ceara, Claudia, and Sara! Each of these women will have moderation access to the sub-forums that apply to their subject matter expertise and have been highlighted in green. They are going to help us keep an eye on some popular and hot button issues in order to help keep the forum organized and on topic. While they are being asked to help us with specific topics due to their expertise, they will and must be respected across the board as moderators and all that title encompasses. Please do not assume that because we have asked them to help us moderate certain topics in particular that this is the only time they should be respected. Please note that each member was unanimously selected for their role by all of our current staff members. Now, onto the congratulations! Welcome, Claudia! Claudia has been on the forum for a number of years. She has been asked to be the Nutrition Subject Moderator. We couldn't be happier to pull her on staff. It has been a long time coming. Please welcome Claudia to the staff! Welcome, Ceara! Ceara has time and time again taught even the most experienced member something new about breeding, genetics, and husky history. She has been asked to be the Breeding Subject Moderator. We could not think of a more knowledgeable and worthy addition to our ranks. Please welcome Ceara to the staff! Welcome, Sara! Sara has been sharing the forum with us since the very beginning and been a valued forum member both here, on the original Husky Forum, and on others. She has been a loyal to our forum for a long time and her expertise in all types of rescue has led to us asking her to be the Rescue Subject Moderator. Please give a warm welcome to Sara onto the staff! If there are any questions or concerns regarding these changes, please direct them to an Administrator. Thank you for helping us welcome these three exciting new additions and help us show them the respect and appreciation that they deserve! ~Tori Forum Owner & Administrator _________________ www.itsahuskything.com It's a husky thing... you wouldn't understand. |
